After all, this time next week we will at least be thinking about Florida.

Mike Sweeney's long tenure in Kansas City is over - he's signed a minor league deal with Oakland. They really weren't interested in Bonds.

San Diego signed Tony Clark to a  minor league deal, while the Reds did likewise with Craig Wilson..

The latest pitchers inking minor league deals and hoping for the best, in the grand tradition of John Thomson and Tomo Ohka,  include Tony Armas (Mets), Steve Trachsel (Orioles), and Scott Williamson (Giants.)

Still looking for a gig, besides the aforementioned Bonds, are such notable names as Shawn Green, Sammy Sosa,  Bartolo Colon, Livan Hernandez, Kenny Lofton, Byung-Hyun Kim, Trot Nixon, Corey Patterson, Reggie Sanders, Shannon Stewart, and Bob Wickman.

It's a buyer's market and we may have some ballplayers getting a stern dose of Reality Therapy.
