Adam Calderone hit three triples as Dunedin won.  Brad Mills, Brett Cecil and Luis Perez turned in excellent starts.  The GCL Jays saw their eight game win streak end and Auburn were bombed in Ripken-land for the second night in a row.  Syracuse also lost as Davis Romero struggled to make it a 3-3 night on the farm.

Lehigh Valley 8  Syracuse 3

Davis Romero gave up 11 hits and four runs in six innings.  The Chiefs scored three runs off Travis Blackley including a home run by Matt Watson.  But Mike Gosling and Jordan DeJong gave up four runs in the eighth.

Watson was 2-2 with two walks.

New Hampshire 10  Portland 2

When Brett Cecil pitches a one hitter over six innings you have a good chance to win.  Cecil retired the first thirteen hitters before allowing a single.  Ryan Patterson tripled and scored in the second.  New Hampshire added two in the third, Scott Campbell doubled, Eric Nielsen singled and David Smith doubled.  The Cats tacked on three in the fourth including another double by Patterson and a home run from Eric Nielsen.  For good measure the Cats scored four in the fifth with a three run home run from Jacob Butler.

With 17 hits every hitter got in the action.  Campbell was 2-6; Smith was 2-5; Arencibia 1-5; and Snider 1-4.

Dunedin 9  Daytona 1

Brad Mills pitched seven strong, six hits, three walks, seven K's and one run.  His ERA in the FSL is an even 2.00.  The offense was led by Adam Calderone who had three triples.  He hit his first to lead-off the game and scored on a single; the second came in the fifth and he scored on an error; and the third one came in the Jays six run eighth and drove in a run.  Brian Dopirak hit a three run home run in the eighth.

Dopirak, Emaus and Hatch had two hits each.  Calderone had three hits, all triples.

Cedar Rapids 1  Lansing 7

Luis Perez pitched six strong innings, the run allowed was unearned, and he racked up nine K's.  Lansing scored first in the third inning, Justin Jackson walked, John Tolisano singled and Jon Jaspe had an RBI single.  In the fourth Johermyn Chavez doubled in Matt Liuzza and David Cooper who had also singled.  The Jays added three in the seventh.  Jaspe, Liuzza, Cooper and Chavez had two hits each.

Auburn 1  Aberdeen 10

For the second night in a row Auburn were bombed early.  They were down 6-0 after two and starting pitcher Evan Crawford didn't get out of the first inning.  Adam Amar doubled leading to the only run.  Robert Sobolewski singled to get his first hit.  Amar had 2 hits, half of the Doubledays total.

GCL Indians 14  GCL Jays 13 - 10 innings

The Jays eight game winning streak ended with the relief pitchers coughing up an 11-4 lead.  Chase Lirette started and gave up four runs.  The Jays got a pair of two run home runs from Tyler Pastornicky and Justin McClanahan.  Pastornicky and Marcus Brisker each had three hits.  Robby Diaz played DH and went 1-3.
