There is no way around it... It was a bad night for the affiliates. Perhaps the players were all too busy checking their cell phones to see if they were traded?

Jesse Litsch allowed one earned run over six innings in his second start since his demotion to Triple-A. He walked two batters and struck out six. Mike Gosling worked 1.2 scoreless innings. The Chiefs were quieted by Kei Igawa, who improved to 11-5 but cannot get batters out in the Majors. Buck Coats went 2-for-4 for the Chiefs. Russ Adams and Kevin Melillo had the only other hits.
The New Hampshire game was still in progress when I had to call it a night... They were behind 12-5 to Portland...

Kyle Ginley, who has been struggling lately, was removed after just 1.1 innings and allowing one run on a solo homer. Nate Starner allowed one earned run over 4.2 emergency innings. Chad Blackwell was creamed for three runs on four hits in one inning of work. Brad Emaus, Cory Patton and Matt Liuzza each had one hit for a pathetic offensive night.
Wisconsin was leading 6-1 when I had to call it a night... 5 a.m. comes far too early...
Williamsport 5 Auburn 4 (10 innings)
Matthew Wright allowed just one unearned run in four innings and struck out seven. Dan Farquhar allowed three runs in 2.2 innings, while Justin Cryer took the loss by allowing the winning run to score in the 10th. Chris Demons was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and four stolen bases. Adam Amar was 1-for-3 with two RBI. Bryan Kervin was 2-for-4 but was also picked off first base.
GCL Jays 5 GCL Yankees (suspended after five due to rain)
Rehabbing Chase Lirette worked three scoreless innings and allowed just one hit. Chris Holguin was roughed up and allowed four runs in 3.2 innings. Tyler Pastornicky, Kyle Gilligan, and Justin McClanahan each went 1-for-3. Welinton Ramirez was 1-for-3 but hit a solo homer and drove in three. Kenny Wilson was 1-for-1 with a double, run scored and walk. He also stole two bases and was picked off second base.
