An uneventful night on the farm, Dunedin and Auburn won.  Syracuse and New Hampshire each allowed nine runs.  Brad Mills and Marc Rzepczynski got ready for their playoff starts.

Syracuse 1  Lehigh Valley 9

This game was scoreless until the fifth when Scott Richmond allowed seven consecutive hitters to reach base and gave up five runs.  Richmond allowed a home run to lead off the fifth and was pulled.  Syracuse scored their only run in the ninth when hector Luna homered.

New Hampshire 2  Portland 9

With Brad Mills in Dunedin Jo Matumoto started, he pitched two innings and gave up four runs.  Jason Burch followed and gave up two runs and Orlando Roman gave up three.  The Fisher Cats had 5 hits, one of them a home run by Chris Gutierrez.

Dunedin 4  Sarasota 3

Brad Mills got the pre-playoff start, he just pitched two inniings giving up one run.  That held up until the fifth when Dunedin scored a pair on a triple by Chris Emanuele and a home run by Anthony Hatch.  Dunedin made it 3-1 in the seventh, rehabbing Brad Wilkerson doubled and Marcos Cabral singled him in.  Sarasota scored a run in the eighth and the teams traded a run in the ninth but Dunedin hung on for the win.  Randy Boon pitched five shutout innings in relief of Mills.

Dunedin had 11 hits, Wilkerson, Cabral and Emanuele had two each.

Lansing 2  South Bend 5

Lansing's offensive woes continue, they had only five hits in this game.  Kevin Ahrens had two hits, one of them a home run.  Jon Talley made his A debut and went 1-2 with a walk.

Marc Rzepczynski started in a play-off tuneup and just went three innings giving up four runs.  The Lugnuts start their playoff run next Wednesday and are going in with a struggling offense and a game one pitcher who has allowed thirteen hits in his last 7.2 innings.  Having said that Lansing will probably surprise us all and win.

Auburn 5  Jamestown 4

Auburn took a 2-0 lead in the first on five singles by Bartolo Nicolas, Brian Van Kirk, Adam Amar, Jon DelCampo and Mike McDade.  The inning ended on when Joel Collins was hit by a batted ball.  Auburn made it 3-0 on a another hit by Van Kirk.  Marcus Walden started for Auburn and gave up a three run shot in the third to tie the game.  The D'Days took the lead in the fifth, Amar had a leadoff single and scored thanks to two wild pitches.  Leance Soto homered in the eighth to make it a 5-3 game.  Walden pitched four innings, Chuck Huggins pitched three shutout innins with five K's.

Auburn had eleven hits, three from Van Kirk, two each by Amar and Nicolas.
