Four losses, four uninspiring pitching performances.  Fabio Castro and Luis Perez did not pitch badly but didn't pitch well enough to win.  Henderson Alvarez continued his slide backwards.  The four affiliates scored ten runs between them, two two's and two three's.  Not much to write about on this night.

Las Vegas 2  Reno 4

Fabio Castro was average through five innings, he worked out of trouble several times and held Reno to just one run.  But in the sixth four singles led to two more runs for Reno and a passed ball made it a total of four runs allowed in 5.1 innings.  Angel Sanchez drove in both runs for the 51's, one on a home run, his second and the second one on a ground out scoring Aaron Mathews who had singled.

Dave Delucci and Aaron Mathews had two hits each.

Akron 5  New Hampshire 2

Luis Perez pitched hitless ball through three innings but the lead-off walk in the fourth, followed by a couple of singles then two errors, a wild pitch and two more hits led to all five runs scoring in the fifth inning.  Outside of the fourth inning Perez only gave up one other hit.  New Hampshire scored their two runs in the fourth also.  Four singles by Brian Dopirak, Adam Calderone, Al Quintana and Cody Haerther accounted for the two runs.  This game had eleven hits with eight of them coming in the fourth inning.

Brian Dopirak and Cody Haerther had two hits each.

Fort Myers 5  Dunedin 3

Ryan Page put on 14 baserunners in 5.1 innings and escaped with only five runs allowed, four earned. The Jays scored one run in the third, Darin Mastroianni doubled and John Tolisano followed with an RBI single.  In the seventh the Jays added two more, singles by Matt Liuzza and Adam Loewen, an RBI single by Mastroianni and a sac fly from Tolisano completed the scoring.

Mastroianni had two hits, Michael Barrett was 1-4 and was caught stealing.

Lansing 3  Dayton 6

Henderson Alvarez continued his recent slide, he gave up all six runs on nine hits in six innings.  Lansing scored single runs in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings.  In the fourth Johermyn Chavez doubled in Chris Emanuele.  In the fifth Mike McDade homered, and in the sixth Mark Sobolewski singled in Brian Van Kirk.  This game was rain shortened in the seventh.

Sobolewski had two hits.

Three Stars - slim pickings

3rd star - Darin Mastroianni
2nd star - Pass
1st star - Pass
