Hitting Back

A .143 hitter is one of the big reasons the New York Yankees are in position to win the World Series tonight.  He's the subject of our latest POTD.

Alex Rodriguez doubled home Johnny Damon with the winning run in the top of the ninth inning as the Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies 7-4 in Game 4 of the World Series Sunday night at Citizens Bank Park.  He's had more hit by pitches (3) than hits (2) in this World Series but those two hits have been the biggest of this series.  His camera-smacking home run in Game 3 off Cole Hamels sparked a Yankees comeback Saturday night and his double off Brad Lidge was the difference-maker last night.

The Phillies look to Cliff Lee to save their bacon and force a Game 6 back in the Bronx.  Can Philadelphia get a Curt Schilling-type performance from Lee in which the Phillies extended the World Series to a sixth game back in 1993 or will they go down in three straight at home like they did against Cal Ripken and the Baltimore Orioles in 1983?  Find out tonight at 7:57 p.m. ET.
