It doesn't look like Marc Rzepczynski will be starting for the Jays anytime soon.  After allowing nine runs in the PCL hell on Saturday, Zep's ERA is 18.56.  Lansing also lost and the only win was thanks to BJ LaMura who pitched six shutout innings for New Hampshire.  Chuck Huggins made his AA debut and pitched well in a losing cause.

Tacoma 17  Las Vegas 9

Another typical PCL game, 34 hits and 26 runs between the two teams.  Marc Rzepczynski gave up 9 runs, 8 earned, on 10 hits over 4.1 innings.  His ERA is now 18.56.  Lance Broadway and Stephen Register gave up four runs apiece and each sport ERA's north of 6.

Jarrett Hoffpair, who hit for the cycle on Friday, was 0-6 on Saturday.  Luis Figueroa and Jorge Padilla had three hits each.  Brett Wallace went 1-3 with a double and was twice hit by a pitch.  JP Arencibia was 2-5 with a double and a triple.

Trenton 3  New Hampshire 0 - game 1

Chuck Huggins made his AA debut and pitched well.  He gave up an unearned run in the first inning.  He walked the second hitter and then picked him off first but Jon Diaz missed the ball allowing the runner into second.  That became the first run on a two out double.  Huggins held Trenton off the scoreboard but put two men on in the sixth and was pulled for Trystan Magnuson.  The first hitter Magnuson faced singled in a run and a ground out scored another.  Huggins went 5.1 innings, and he allowed four hits and one walk with 3 K's.

New Hampshire didn't have a hit until the fourth inning and were held to three hits in total.

Trenton 0  New Hampshire 7 - game 2

After being held to just three hits in game number one, the Fisher Cats scored early and often in game number 2.  In the first inning Shawn Bowman and Adam Loewen drove in runs.  In the second inning Brian Jeroloman drove in Callix Crabbe to make it 3-0.  In the third inning Eric Thames doubled in a run and then Shawn Bowman hit a two run home run to make it 6-0.  Jeroloman got an rbi on a based loaded walk later in that inning.

BJ LaMura delivered a great start, six innings of two hit ball with 9 K's.

Charlotte at Dunedin - postponed

Lansing 2  South Bend 6

Evan Crawford struggled through three innings before he was done for the day.  In the first inning he walked three straight hitters, including walking in a run, and put the Lugnuts down 2-0.  In the third he gave up three straight singles, added in a walk and another hit, and gave up three more runs and the Lugnuts trailed 5-0.

The Lugnuts two runs came in the eight when Sean Ochinko singled in two runs.  Ochinko, Mark Sobolewski and AJ Jimenez had two hits each.

And for those who are interested the DSL Jays started their season on Saturday and lost.
