The first person who was primarily known for his work in Toronto has been elected. Congrats to Pat Gillick.

The current veteran's committee voting was as follows (12 out of 16 votes needed to be elected)...
Pat Gillick (13 votes, 81.25%); Marvin Miller (11 votes, 68.75%); Dave Concepcion (8 votes, 50%); Ted Simmons, Vida Blue, Steve Garvey, Ron Guidry, Tommy John, Billy Martin, Al Oliver, Rusty Staub and George Steinbrenner each received less than eight votes.

Yup, Marvin Miller was just 1 vote shy of getting in. A bit surprised that Concepcion got as much support as he did, and that Steinbrenner got as little as he did.

With any luck this years HOF class will be buried in Blue Jays with Alomar getting in as well.
