Pitching Still Rules

Pitching continued to be the name of the game. New Hampshire scored five runs. The other Jays teams scored five runs between them in four games. Jays pitchers allowed ten runs in five games. Scott Copeland, Starlyn Sureil and Shane Dawson were the best of the starters. KC Hobson hit his second home run of the season. Dickie Jo Thon also homered.

Buffalo lost 2-0 even though Rochester had just two hits, the second one a walk off two run home run by Josmil Pinto. Scott Copeland was tremendous, seven shutout innings just one infield hit allowed. Ryan Goins had two hits.


New Hampshire won in ten innings with a bases loaded walk. Taylor Cole did Ok but allowed too many base runners. KC Hobson had another two hits and another home run.


Dunedin lost in 11 innings. New Jay Jayson Aquino pitched well for five innings. Jimmy Cordero pitched two good innings, he didn't walk anyone. Emilio Guerrero made his first appearance of 2015 and went 2-4. Michael Saunders was 1-3.


Lansing split a doubleheader. Starlyn Suriel and Shane Dawson pitched well. Eight K's for Suriel and six for Dawson. The Lugnuts had just eight hits between the two games, Ryan McBroom had three. Dickie Jo Thon hit a home run.
