Three games on the docket. Lansing won, but both Buffalo and Dunedin lost. John Stilson made his season debut, while Miguel Castro got roughed up in Buffalo.

Buffalo 2 DURHAM 4

Dalton Pompey had a hit, a walk, drove in a run, and stole two bases as the Bisons mustered just five hits on the night. Miguel Castro struggled. He allowed five hits, two earned runs, and a walk in his inning of work. That’s bout it for notables. Oh, J.P. Arencibia struck out three times, naturally. The Bisons were swept by the Rays’ affiliate. They scored just two runs over the course of the three game series.

LAKELAND 6 Dunedin 1

Jairo Labourt pitched two innings in his return from injury. Lots of walks, as per usual. John Stilson made his debut. While he allowed two earned on three hits, he did strike out four in his inning and a third. Awfully nice for him to have some success this year. Matt Dean and Mitch Nay both doubled for Dunedin’s only two extra base hits.

LANSING 8 Fort Wayne 5

The Lugnuts stole seven bases. Anthony Alford had three to go along with two walks at the top of the order. Rowdy Tellez had two hits, as did J.D. Davis. D.J. Davis hit his fourth triple of the season, and both Richard Urena and Danny Jansen went deep. Good night for Lansing hitters. On the mound, Shane Dawson got hit around a wee bit. Five earned over five innings including two long balls. Dawson though did pick off two runners. Next Jimmy Key I tell ya!
