Boston makes its first visit to the Dome in 2015. The Jays are 14-15, a half-game ahead of the 13-15 Red Sox and four games behind the Yankees for first place in the American League East. Toronto is coming off a series victory against the Yankees at the Concrete Convertible.

Since taking two of three against Toronto last week, the Red Sox dropped five out of six on their homestand to the Yankees and Rays.

Series Schedule / Probable Starters

Friday at 7:07 pm ET — Wade Miley (1-3, 7.15) vs. Aaron Sanchez (2-2, 4.62)
Saturday at 1:07 pm ET — Joe Kelly (1-1, 5.72) vs. Drew Hutchison (2-0, 7.47)
Sunday at 1:07 pm ET — Clay "Sunscreen" Buchholz (1-1, 4.61) vs R.A. Dickey (1-3, 4.38)

Matchups: Miley gets a break as he avoids the injured Jose Reyes, who is 4-for-8 lifetime against him. Edwin Encarnacion is 2-for-2 against Miley with a double. Russell Martin is 4-for-8 with a homer and three walks versus Kelly while Jose Bautista is 2-for-6 with a home run and Devon Travis is 2-for-3 with a dinger. Against Buccholz, Ryan Goins is 7-for-14 and Bautista is hitting .275 in 51 at-bats.

Last Series: Kelly gave up five runs over six innings but struck out 10 when the Jays came from ahead to lose the series opener at Fenway Park April 27.  Sanchez got a no-decision in that one after whiffing seven but giving up four runs in 5-2/3 innings. The Jays got a shaky Drew Hutchison off the hook and chased Buccholz after 2-2/3 innings the next day to earn their only victory of the three-game set in Boston. Marco Estrada earned the win with three shutout innings of relief. Dickey threw seven innings but lost to Rick Porcello in the series finale.

Roster Move: Righthander Ryan Tepera has been called up from Triple-A Buffalo and Chad Jenkins is going to back to the Herd. Tepera was 1-1 with a 0.57 earned run average in 15-2/3 innings in Buffalo while posting a 17-5 strikeout-walk total. The International League was hitting just .115 against the 27 year-old Lake Jackson, Texas native. Tepera was a 19th round pick in 2009 out of Sam Houston State. He'll wear John Frascatore's old number 52.
