Three losses on the farm on Sunday with Dunedin having a day off. Both Buffalo and New Hampshire outhit their opponents and lost. New Hampshire's manager and pitching coach were both ejected for arguing a three run home run that they claimed was foul. Lansing were tied in the ninth but lost by five. Richard Urena drove in three runs.
Buffalo 4 Louisville 8
Andrew Albers had a very strong start to the season and earned a brief call up to the major leagues. But over his last four starts Albers has been less effective and that was the case on Sunday. Albers pitched just three innings and was charged with six runs. The Bats scored three runs in the first and third innings, Albers hit a batter in both innings as well as walking hitters and giving up hits. He looked to be out of sorts. Jeff Francis gave up the other two runs for a Canadian 8 spot.
The Bisons scored all their runs in the last three innings. Matt Hague and Daric Barton each homered. Andy Burns was involved in the other two runs, he singled and was driven in by Brad Glenn in the eighth. Burns singled to drive in Jonathan Diaz in the ninth. Burns, Hague, Barton and Caleb Gindl each had two hits.
Richmond 4 New Hampshire 1
New Hampshire scored in the first. Dalton Pompey singled to start the inning and later scored on a Melky Mesa single. Cole Garner was the leading hitter for the Fisher Cats, he went 3-4. In both the second and fourth innings Garner made it to third with one out and the Fisher Cats were unable to bring him in. They rued those missed chances later when Richmond took the lead.
Richmond took the lead on a disputed call in the seventh. With two on and two out pitcher John Anderson was trying to get out of trouble. A long fly ball was ruled to be a three run home run by the home plate umpire. Both manager Bobby Meachem and pitching coach Bob Stanley objected to the call, claiming it was foul, and after some arguing were both ejected. Anderson took the loss on that home run despite giving up just four hits in 6.2 innings.

This game was tied at five headed to the ninth. Lugnuts pitcher Colton Turner gave up a couple of runs in the ninth, with help from a couple of errors, before Andrew Case came on to surrender a three run home run. That five run deficit was too much to overcome. Jesus Tinoco started and was charged with five runs in five innings. Peoria had nine hits off him, the lone bright spot was seven K's.
Michael De La Cruz scored the first two runs and both times Richard Urena drove him in, once with a double and once with a sac fly. Jason Leblebijian homered for the third run. Anthony Alford singled in the fourth run and Urena drove in his third run with a ground out. Leblebijian led the hitters with three hits, Anthony Alford had two.
