The affiliates won three of out five with two of the affiliates scoring five runs on five hits. Another affiliate scored five but they lost by five. Buffalo and Lansing took five, they had the night off.

Binghamton 5 New Hampshire 2

Manchester, NH
- The Fisher Cats are a half-dozen games back of .500 after losing to the Mets but the big concern is Dalton Pompey, who was beaned in the back of the head by a pitch in the third inning. Pompey - who had a 24 game hitting streak snapped - was replaced by Andy Fermin on the basepaths and Fermin would score the second of two runs in the third inning on a K.C. Hobson single. A fielder's choice by Jon Berti brought in the first run. The Fisher Cats had just four hits on the night which included a Matt Newman double and singles by Dwight Smith Jr. and Shane Opitz. Berti and Jorge Flores drew the only walks with Berti stealing a base. Kevin Nolan and Jack Murphy were both 0-for-4.

Casey Lawrence
(5-8, 5.54) served up a tie-breaking home run in the seventh for the loss. He went 6-2/3 innings and allowed three runs on nine hits and a walk. His ground out total was nine and his K total was four. Scott Barnes stranded a runner and pitched two-thirds of a scoreless inning with one hit allowed. An error by Opitz at first resulted in two unearned runs charged to Jimmy Cordero. He walked one and struck out two in his one inning of work and stranded a runner for Barnes. Chad Girodo only stranded one of three runners by giving up a hit but striking out two in his two-thirds of an inning.

Dunedin 5 Tampa 3

Tampa, FL
- The D-Jays share the same 31-37 record as their Double-A counterparts but their win prevented the Yankees from reaching the .500 mark. A Derrick Loveless single and a Martin Medina double gave Dunedin a 3-0 lead in the second inning. A sacrifice fly by Mitch Nay in the eighth broke a 3-3 tie and a Roemon Fields base hit provided an insurance marker in the ninth. Dawel Lugo doubled and L.B. Dantzler singled to round out Dunedin's hit total of five. Fields added a walk and his 21st stolen base of the year. Christian Lopes also reached twice with a walk and a plunk. J.D. Davis had a walk while Matt Dean was 0-for-4 with a run scored. All five Dunedin runs were unearned thanks to four Yankee errors.

Jeff Hoffman
was in line for the win after tossing five innings of two-run ball on seven hits and a walk. He struck out a pair and six of his eight outs in play did not leave the diamond. Alberto Tirado offset a walk in the sixth with two strikeouts. Matt Dermody (2-0) was dinged for the tying run on three hits but had one strikeout in the seventh. Brady Dragmire emulated Tirado with a 2-1 K/BB total in the eighth. Wil Browning was more than willing and able to wrap this one up with a 1-2-3 ninth for save number 12.

Vancouver 5 Salem-Keizer 3

Keizer, OR
- The Canadians snapped a three-game losing streak by taking the finale of this five-game set. Like Dunedin, Vancouver made the most of its five hits to get the victory. Lane Thomas was in the middle of everything offensively for Vancouver once again. After hitting a home run yesterday, Thomas cleared the bases with a double to give the Canadians a 3-2 lead in the sixth. He would score himself on a base hit by Juan Kelly. Sean Hurley lifted a sac fly in the ninth for some insurance. Gabriel Cenas, Christian Vazquez and Kevin Garcia getting singles. Kelly, Hurley and Garcia supplemented their batting lines with a walk apiece. Earl Burl III also drew a walk after taking over for Juan Tejada, who was hit by a pitch. Rolando Segovia was 0-for-5 and J.C. Cardenas was 0-for-4 with a run scored while whiffing twice apiece at the top of the order.

Conor Fisk was on the mound for four innings, giving up a run on four hits while walking and striking out three. Daniel Lietz was lit up for a hit and three walks but only had one run on his line in his two-thirds of an inning. Joey Aquino (1-0) saved the day by stranding the bases loaded and walking just one batter over 1-1/3 scoreless frames. Michael Kraft coughed up three hits and three walks over 1-2/3 innings but used a couple of strikeouts to limit the Giants affiliate to one run. Andrew Case stranded a runner for Kraft with a strikeout to end the eighth but had to work around a hit, a walk and a wild pitch in the ninth for the four-out save.

GCL Pirates 10 GCL Blue Jays 5

Dunedin, FL
- The Jays let this one get away after failing to hold leads of 3-1 and 5-3. Starter Luis Sanchez pitched 5-1/3 innings and surrendered three runs on four hits and two walks. One of the runs was unearned after the first of three passed balls by Owen Spiwak. Sanchez struck out three and split his 10 outs in play on the ground and in the air. Nate Abel finished off the sixth and struck out a batter but not before being charged with three runs on two hits and a walk and only stranded one of two runners. Griffin Glaude (0-1) was gonged for a two-run homer and a walk while allowing three inherited runs to score but he struck out four over two innings. The Bucs also got to Kelyn Jose for two runs on three hits in the ninth. Jose also uncorked two wild pitches but he did strike out a batter.

The Jays jumped out to a 3-0 lead as Levi Scott drove in the season's first run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning. That was followed by a two-run home run by Spiwak. A Miguel Almonte ground out and a Cliff Brantley single brought in the other two runs in the fourth. Etobicoke's Connor Panas had a two-hit game while Jesus Severino singled and was hit by a pitch.  Jake Thomas and Nate Knight also found the hit column. Almonte and Edward Oliveras both worked the count to ball four.

DSL Blue Jays 4 DSL Orioles1 3

San Pedro de Macoris, DR
- The boys in the Dominican are playing .600 ball after improving to 12-8 on the season. The Jays grabbed a 2-0 first inning on an RBI single by Norberto Obeso and a fielder's choice ground ball by Yorman Rodriguez. They added two more on the scoreboard in the sixth on run-scoring singles by Sterling Guzman and Sam Buelens. Manuel Herazo and Antony Fuentes recorded the only extra-base hits with a double apiece. Obeso was the on-base leader with a hit and two walks. Herazo, Guzman and Jesus Navarro all had a knock and a walk with Guzman stealing a base but getting caught once. Rodriguez also had a hit, Kevin Vicuna was hit by a pitch and Enmanuel Moreta worked the count to four balls.

Yonardo Herdenez (2-1, 2.41) set down the first 14 hitters in a row before the Orioles got to him for a double. He yielded just two unearned runs (on his own throwing error) on three hits and a walk over 5-1/3 innings. Herdenez struck out three, induced seven of his 13 outs on the ground and posted a Game Score of 60. Ruben Ventura stranded one of two runners and was charged with a run of his own on one hits and two walks with a balk entering the equation over 2-2/3 innings. He whiffed three and recorded five ground ball outs. Jairo Rosario pitched a one-hit ninth with a punchout to earn the save.
