The affiliates won two out of five Monday that included a one-run loss and a pair of six-run setbacks. New Hampshire's game was cancelled due to a flooded field in New Britian and Bluefield's game was rained out in Princeton.

Dunedin 3 Jupiter 0

Dunedin, FL
- Luis Santos (6-6, 4.67) nailed down the Hammerheads with seven shutout innings of three-hit ball. The 24 year-old Dominican righty walked just one while striking out three for a Game Score of 73. Of his 14 outs in play, six of them were on the ground. Lefty Alonzo Gonzalez worked his way around a hit and two walks by striking out four over two shutout frames for save number one.

Jorge Saez drove in the only run Dunedin would need in the third against the Marlins affiliate with a single to score a Christian Lopes double. They added two big insurance runs in the eighth on RBI singles by Anthony Alford and Rowdy Tellez. Alford had the lone two-hit game and Saez drew a walk to get on base twice. Matt Dean and Derrick Loveless also had base hits with Loveless stealing a base. Richard Urena went 0-for-4 while the duo of L.B. Dantzler and Mitch Nay went 0-for-6 combined.

Dayton 4 Lansing 3

Dayton, OH
- It was a mixed bag of a start for Justin Shafer (4-1, 1.98). The Reds affiliate got to the former Florida Gator for a pair of runs in each of the first two innings but he lasted 6-2/3 innings, surrendering four runs on nine hits and a walk. He struck out seven and induced eight ground ball outs. Lefthander Tim Mayza graced his way through 1-1/3 shutout innings, holding the Dragons down to one hit and striking out a pair. Mayza's second K of the night led to the ejection of Dayton DH Garrett Boulware by the home plate umpire.

The Lugnuts offence finally got rolling in the sixth on an RBI base hit from Dawel Lugo. They drew closer in the eighth on a Ryan McBroom sacrifice fly to score a Jason Leblebijian triple and a run-scoring double by Boomer Collins. David Harris worked a walk with one out in the ninth but was thrown out trying to steal. Leblebijian was then rung up on strikes to end the game. McBroom had a 3-for-3 night with a double. Harris, Lugo and Collins all had a hit and a base on balls apiece. Mike Reeves had a hit and Austin Davis had a walk and an assist from left field for throwing out a runner at third base. D.J. Davis had an ugly 0-for-5 night that included a golden sombrero. Christian Vazquez was 0-for-4. Lansing hitters whiffed 11 times and drew five walks. They were 1-for-13 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.

Salem-Keizer 9 Vancouver 3

Clinton Hollon
could not stop the bleeding for Vancouver as he surrendered three runs over 4-2/3 innings Monday night.

Vancouver, BC
- The C's losing streak is up to nine as the Giants affiliate completed a five-game sweep at The Nat. Clinton Hollon (1-2, 3.94) was one out short of a five-inning outing, yielding three runs on seven hits, a walk and a hit by pitch while registering three strikeouts. He allowed a leadoff single in the first and balked the runner to second after losing his balance on the mound. A fly ball advanced the runner to third before Hollon uncorked a wild pitch for the Volcanoes' first run. A triple and single produced another Salem-Keizer run in the third and a hit by pitch and double in the fifth chased Hollon from the game. Michael Kraft ended the fifth and set down the side in order in the sixth but ran into trouble in the seventh. He got two outs but was charged with three runs allowed on two hits with a pair of K's. One of the runs was unearned after a J.C. Cardenas error at short extended the inning against Sean Ratcliffe, who also had an unearned run on one hit while striking out one in one-third of an inning. Turner Lee struck out two over two shutout frames.

Andrew Guillotte connected for his first home run as a Vancouver Canadian as part of a three-hit evening.

The C's did have a 2-1 lead after scoring twice in their half of the first. A Justin Atkinson ground out cashed in a Lane Thomas double and Gunnar Heidt singled home a Sean Hurley walk after he stole second and went to third on a throwing error by the catcher. They had a chance to add more but left the bases loaded. Vancouver didn't score again until the ninth when Andrew Guillotte put one over the wall in left field. Guillotte had a three-hit game and a stolen base. Carl Wise had a double and a single in four trips to the plate.  J.C. Cardenas tripled, Atkinson doubled and Kevin Garcia contributed a single.  Earl Burl III drew a walk and Hurley stole a base. Vancouver was 1-for-10 with runners in scoring position and abandoned nine men on the basepaths.

GCL Braves 12 GCL Blue Jays 6

Orlando, FL
- Hansel Rodriguez (0-1, 7.41) was not so hot in this one. He was tattooed for a three-run home run in the first  inning and gave up eight runs on nine hits and two walks in 2-2/3 innings. He also balked twice on back-to-back plays that scored a runner from second in the third inning. Rodriguez was relieved by Nate Abel, who gave up a two-run home run to the first batter he faced. He served up another two-run dinger that led to four runs over 2-1/3 innings on four hits, a walk and a hit by pitch. Rodriguez and Abel both struck out three. Justin Maese navigated his away around three hits and two walks by striking out two over three shutout frames.

Reggie Pruitt
got the Jays on the board with an RBI single to score a Juandy Mendoza ground-rule double in the fifth inning. Pruitt would then come home on a Cliff Brantley home run. Andrew Florides brought in an Edward Olivares double with a base hit in the seventh and would score on a Brantley base rap. A Ryan Hissey sacrifice fly scored a Pruitt single in the ninth. Brantley had a four-hit day and was a double shy of the cycle. He also threw out a runner at third from left field. Olivares had a walk to reach base twice, stole a base and pegged down a runner at second from right field. Bryan Lizardo had the other hit. Hissey and Jake Thomas took one for the team and Hissey also walked. Levi Scott was 0-for-5 as the Jays struck out 13 times.

DSL Blue Jays 10 DSL Padres 2

Boca Chica, DR
- Yenssy Diaz (2-2, 1.78) was dealing in this one. The 18 year-old righty threw five shutout innings of one-hit ball, walking two and striking out nine for a Game Score of 72. Juan Nunez was knocked around for two runs on two hits and a walk but struck out one in two frames. Jairo Rosario struck out four of the six hitters he faced for a perfect two-inning save.

The Jays cracked open the goose egg in the third when Kevin Vicuna lofted a sacrifice fly to score Andres Guerra, who walked and stole third along the way. They revved up the offence in the sixth with four runs, highlighted by an Antony Fuentes RBI double and a Christian Peguero RBI single. A Jesus Navarro sac fly started a five-run rally in the eighth that also included an Antonio Concepion run-scoring single and a Fuentes two-run double. Fuentes and Peguero both had two-hit games with Peguero also getting a walk. Sam Buelens had a hit and two walks and four stolen bases while Guerra heard ball four three times. Enmanuel Moreta also put a notch in the hit column. Kevin Vicuna was 0-for-4 but stole two bases. Francisco Rodriguez walked twice and swiped a bag.
