Conner Greene was probably the only standout performer on the farm prospect-wise. A couple old hands had good nights and there were a few strong pitching performances. The affiliates went 4-4.

ROCHESTER 3 Buffalo 0 Game One (7 Innings)

Jeff Francis had a bit of a tough luck loss. He pitched six innings of three run (two earned) baseball. Francis struck out four to eight hits and a walk. No multi-hit Bisons.

Rochester 1 BUFFALO 2 Game Two (7 Innings)

Game two featured better pitching from Phillippe Aumont. Aumont pitched six innings of one run, eight strikeout, four walk, and three hit ball. Chris Heisey’s walk off homerun in the seventh won it for the Bisons.

Akron 0 NEW HAMPSHIRE 1

Conner Greene is taking Double-A by storm. Six more shutout innings for Greene tonight, though he only struck out a single batter and walked three. Nonetheless, a bright looking prospect indeed.

Dunedin 3 BREVARD COUNTY 4

J.D. Davis could not cash the tying run on third in the ninth as the Dunedin comeback was all for not tonight. Mitch Nay had two hits and Matt Dean collected his 22nd double of the season.

Lansing 3 CLINTON 6

I’m not sure how Lane Thomas is up with Lansing, but there you have it. Thomas doubled in four trips. D.J. Davis had two hits and Ryan McBroom homered as part of two hits as well. Tom Robson took the loss with four and a third of six run (five earned) ball.

Vancouver 0 HILLSBORO 1

Two Canadians’ hits, but six impressive innings from starter Francisco Rios. Rios allowed one earned run on three hits and seven strikeouts.

Princeton 3 BLUEFIELD 11

Would it be terribly inaccurate to say the Jays’ new policy to amateur talent is to draft North American pitching prospects and sign top position player Latin talent? Seems like that’s been the policy these past few years, no? One of those position player talents, Yeltsin Gudino, homered tonight. Gudino has yet to find his groove here, but I gather his homerun tonight was his first as a professional. Gabriel Clark had three hits and homered as well. Deiferson Barreto had three hits.

GCL BLUE JAYS 6 GCL YANKEES1 4 Game One (7 innings)

Danny Jansen had two hits. All is not lost on the catching front. Reggie Pruitt will be one to watch in the next few years as he gets over his mechanical issues in his swing and molds into a leadoff hitter. Pruitt was hitless, but drove in two runs.

GCL BLUE JAYS v GCL YANKEES1 Game Two RAIN

This game was halted after the Yankees’ affiliate hit in the top half of the first due to rain. It will be completed on August 26, 2015. The Jays were leading 4-1.

DSL White Sox v DSL Blue Jays

Three Stars

3. Francisco Rios

2. Phillippe Aumont

1. Conner Greene
