Not a shock to anyone, but David Price is one of 3 finalists for the Cy Young and Josh Donaldson is one of the top 3 for MVP.

http://m.mlb.com/news/article/156972766/2015-baseball-writers-awards-finalists-named is where you can get details.

AL MVP: Lorenzo Cain, Josh Donaldson, Mike Trout - Donaldson the favorite, Trout might get it, Cain seen as a dark horse candidate.

AL Cy Young: Sonny Gray, Dallas Keuchel, David Price - Keuchel is the favorite, Price 2nd. Keuchel was 20-8 2.48 ERA 162 ERA+ in 232 IP - he led in IP, ERA+, and had 216 K's to go with it. Price was 18-5 2.45 ERA 220 IP 225 K's, 161 ERA+ so very close in ERA+ and wins while leading slightly in ERA with more K's but fewer IP. Gray has no shot with a 14-7 2.73 208 IP record. Really a coin toss as to who should get it but I'm betting on Keuchel with those 2 extra wins.

A bit surprised Gibbons wasn't in the Manger of the Year race just due to the Jays breaking that 20+ year no playoff streak, guess all credit went to AA. Instead it'll be Jeff Banister (Rangers), A.J. Hinch (Astros), Paul Molitor (Twins). I'm betting on Hinch as the Astros no one saw winning. I remember how Molitor was seen as a future manager back in '93 guess he has the goods. Final voting put Banister #1 with Gibbons #4.

AL Rookie of the Year: Carlos Correa, Francisco Lindor, Miguel Sano - no Jays kids here. I suspect Roberto Osuna will get a vote or two but was not a top 3 candidate.

Cy is on November 18th, MVP November 19th.
