The affiliates took two out of three Monday night. Buffalo was rained out in Syracuse and will try to make it up today as part of a doubleheader.

Hartford 4 New Hampshire 1

Manchester, NH
- This game was supposed to be played in Hartford but construction delays with the new stadium there forced the game to be played in New Hampshire, with the Rockies affiliate getting the last at-bat.

Rowdy Tellez
gave the "visiting" Fisher Cats a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning with his first poke over the wall in Double-A, a blast to right-center field. The Yard Goats would respond with single runs in the fourth and fifth innings off Jason Berken* (0-1, 3.60) to hand the former Oriole/Cub the loss. One of the runs was a game-tying dinger off the bat of 2012 first-round pick David Dahl. Hartford added an unearned run against former D-Backs/Tigers lefty Daniel Schlereth in the seventh and one more off Wil Browning in the eighth.

Jon Berti and K.C. Hobson were 2-for-4 and Tellez also walked to get on base twice. Wilkin Castillo had the other hit. Roemon Fields, Dwight Smith Jr., Matt Dean and Jorge Flores were among the hitless Hampshire hitters.

* You may remember Jason Berken for being the starter and winner of this game, spoiling the night of the World Series reunion of the 1992 and 1993 Blue Jays. He had a 1-9 record heading into that start.

Dunedin 4 St. Lucie 3

Port St. Lucie, FL
- Sloppy defence and wild pitching by the Mets helped put Dunedin on the road for the victory. Two-out errors at third base and left field in the first inning and two wild pitches in the third saw J.D. Davis cross home plate twice. Davis would reach the pentagon for a third time on a two-run home run by Ryan McBroom in the sixth. That 4-0 lead was enough to withstand a three-run rally in the ninth.

Luis Santos pitched two scoreless frames with a couple of strikeouts before turning the ball over to Brad Allen (2-0), who whiffed five over four innings of two-hit ball. Adonys Cardona got around two infield singles and a walk in the seventh by starting a 1-3 lineout double play. Tim Mayza got through the eighth but gave up a run in the ninth and left the bases loaded for Matt Dermody, who could only strand one baserunner but he got the save with a pair of game-ending whiffs.

J.D. Davis had two hits, including a double while McBroom drew a walk to reach base twice. Richard Urena and Christian Lopes were 1-for-4 at the top of the order with Urena also stealing a base. D.J. Davis and Danny Jansen were both 0-for-4.

Lansing 6 Dayton 4

Lansing, MI
- The Lugnuts were unable to hold a 4-1 lead but scored twice in their final at-bat to put this one in the win column. Surrey, BC native Justin Atkinson doubled in a Lane Thomas extra-base knock for the winning run before scoring on a Jacob Anderson single. Gunnar Heidt homered in the third to score an Andrew Guillotte walk. Fielder's choices by Guillotte and Carl Wise scored two more in the fourth. Every Lugnut batter had one hit with Atkinson and Anderson getting two apiece. Heidt had the lone stolen base.

Francisco Rios and Angel Perdomo split up the first six innings, allowing a run apiece but they posted 4-1 and 5-1 K/BB totals respectively. Conor Fisk (1-0) struck out two to overcome a double in the seventh but served up a game-tying two run blast in the eighth. Colton Turner worked around a leadoff single with two K's in the ninth for his first save.
