The affiliates came away with a split of their four games on Monday. The winning teams put up a 15 under the hit column. Another had 16 but they lost.

Buffalo 9 Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 6

Moosic, PA
- The Herd used four doubles to score three times in the ninth to break a 6-6 tie and beat the Yankees affiliate. Jesus Montero doubled home Andy Burns with the winning run before Matt Dominguez doubled in pinch-runner Alexi Casilla and Casey Kotchman with insurance runs. Kotchman and Junior Lake went deep for the Bisons and Dominguez had a pair of RBI singles for a three-hit night. Burns, Montero, Lake and Jio Mier all had two-hit games with Montero drawing a walk. Brown and Mier also had stolen bases. Dalton Pompey was 0-for-4 with a walk while A.J. Jimenez went 0-for-5.

Drew Hutchison was knocked around early and fell behind 1-0 after a single and a double to the first two batters of the game. He gave up another run in the second but was bailed out by Lake as he started 7-5-4 and 7-4 putouts to cut down a pair of runners at second base. Nick Swisher socked a solo shot in the fourth before a Jonathan Diaz triple and a sac fly produced two more Scranton runs in the fifth. Hutchison lasted six innings, allowing five runs on 10 hits but struck out six without walking anyone. Chad Jenkins got through the seventh but Chad Girodo (2-0) coughed up the tying run in the eighth. Ryan Tepera overcame two walks in the ninth to get his first save.

Hartford 4 New Hampshire 3 (15 Innings)

Manchester, NH
- Despite outhitting the Rockies affiliate 16-9, the Fisher Cats could not put this one in the win column. They struck first in the first inning when Dwight Smith Jr. lifted a sacrifice fly to score a Roemon Fields double. Rowdy Tellez would go opposite field with a home run to left field in the sixth to tie the game at 2-2 before Smith doubled in a Jorge Flores walk in the seventh to even things up again at 3-3. New Hampshire had at least one runner on from the eighth inning on but they could not get that timely hit. Fields made it to third base twice but could not score. Fields had three hits and a stolen base. Jon Berti, K.C. Hobson, Shane Opitz, Ian Parmley and Flores all had two-hit efforts with Flores swiping a bag. Tellez drew a pair of walks to go with his second homer of the season. Wilkin Castillo also had a one-hit, two-walk game and Melky Mesa walked once as every Fisher Cat got on base at least once.

Jeremy Gabryszwski
pitched 6-1/3 innings of three-run ball (two earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out five. Wil Browning got the final two outs of the seventh but allowed one of his two inherited runners to score. Colt Hynes and Danny Barnes each tossed three shutout innings with Hynes whiffing six of the 10 hitters he faced and Barnes ringing up five of nine. Daniel Schlereth (0-1) surrendered the winning run in the 15th after a scoreless 14th.

- The D-Jays erupted for eight runs over their final four at-bats to pull away from the Cardinals. David Harris got things rolling with a two-run single in the second inning but it was a J.D. Davis three-run home run in the fifth to cap off a four-run rally that included an Emilio Guerrero RBI double. Richard Urena doubled in a run before scoring on a Jason Leblebijian single in the sixth. Danny Jansen singled home another run in the seventh before Urena scored on a balk in the eighth after getting on board with a leadoff single. Urena, Leblebijian and Davis accounted for nine of Dunedin's 15 hits. Guerrero had two doubles as every Dunedin hitter got on base at least once.

Tom Robson
(1-1, 9.72) had a much better outing by lasting five innings and giving up just one run on three hits, three walks and a hit by pitch. He struck out four and recorded seven of his nine outs in play on the ground. Brad Allen allowed two runs in his two innings of work before Tim Mayza wrapped things up with three K's over two shutout frames.
