Jonathan Davis had two home runs for the Dunedin Jays by the third inning. That was more than Chris Rowley needed as he went 6.2 shutout innings. Sean Reid-Foley pitched six shutout innings for the Lugnuts but didn't feature in the decision. Lansing scored five runs between the seventh and eight innings to win. Justin Atkinson hit a big go-ahead home run. Four New Hampshire pitchers combined on a shutout. Jason Leblebijian and Wilkin Castillo each had three hits as part of an eight run barrage.

Buffalo at Syracuse - rained out

On Saturday, the Bisons ran up 19 hits and 13 runs. Dalton Pompey had four hits, Andy Burns three. Casey Kotchman had the only home run.

Buffalo won 7-5 on Friday. Jesus Montero had four RBI, a double and a triple. AJ Jimenez had two doubles to raise his average to .282.

New Hampshire 8 Reading 0

Five runs in the third inning put the Fisher Cats in the driving seat. It was a scrappy five runs, two singles, two walks and a hit batter made it 2-0. Wilkin Castillo then doubled in two more before an Ian Parmley sac fly made it five. Roemen Fields doubled in the fourth before Jason Leblebijian singled him in. Castillo added a home run in the fifth to make it 7-0. Leblebijian homered in the seventh. Leblebijian and Castillo both had three hits.

Four pitchers combined on the shutout. Starter Jason Berken went four innings. Chris Smith, Matt Dermody and Wil Browning kept the scoreboard at zero.

New Hampshire had the dubious distinction of losing to walk off home runs on both Friday and Saturday. Friday was the worst. New Hampshire led 4-3 with Murphy Smith on to close. Smith gave up both a game tying home run and a walk-off game winning home run. On Saturday Danny Barnes was the victim, giving up a lead off home run in the bottom of the tenth. That spoiled a two home run game by Melky Mesa.

Dunedin 5 Palm Beach 0

Chris Rowley had another excellent start, 6.2 innings, 3 hits, 4 walks, two strikeouts. Rowley's ERA is now 2.89 with a 1.17 WHIP. Colton Turner and Tim Mayza finished up.

Jonathan Davis led off the game the game with a home run and then his next time up, in the third, he hit another for a 2-0 lead. In the sixth Emilio Guerrero delivered a sac fly to score Aaron Attaway. Attaway scored again in the eighth on a double from Richard Urena. Ryan McBroom singled in Urena with the final run. Davis and Attaway led the hitters with two each.

Dunedin lost easily on Saturday, Justin Shafer gave up seven runs. The only bright spot was a grand slam by Emilio Guerrero. On Friday Taylor Cole came off the DL to pitch five shutout innings as the Jays won 3-0. DJ Davis and Derrick Loveless had two hits.

Bowling Green 2 Lansing 6

Lansing trailed 2-1 headed to the seventh. Sean Reid-Foley had pitched six shutout innings and as soon as Starlyn Suriel came out of the bullpen Connor Panas made a two base error. A single, a stolen base and a ground out put the Lugnuts in the hole. Panas then led off the bottom of the seventh, trying to make up for his error, and he walked. Justin Atkinson homered for the first time this year to give the lead back to Lansing. That was followed by single, single, single from JC Cardenas, Andrew Guillotte and Gunnar Heidt made it 4-2. In the eighth a Lane Thomas triple drove in a run and he scored on a sac fly by Panas. Until the seventh inning Lansing had been held down so that they ended with just eight hits. Lane Thomas had two hits but his average is still just below 200.

SRF went six shutout innings with just two hits. Both hits were ground balls to second base. He added five K's and walked just one.

Lansing lost 5-2 on Saturday. Ryan Borucki had a bit of a rocky outing. Lane Thomas homered. On Friday Lansing lost 5-0 with all the runs coming off the bullpen. It ruined a strong start by Angel Perdomo, six shutout innings, one hit, two walks, eight K's.
