It was not a great Monday night at the farm as the affiliates went 0-3. The good news was Dunedin's game in Palm Beach was washed out and Lansing had the night off.

Rochester 6 Buffalo 2

Rochester, NY
- It was not the way Drew Hutchison (2-3, 3.13) wanted to draw it up. The Twins affiliate gave Hutch a Game WHIP of 2.00 after scoring four times on seven singles, a ground-rule double, a triple and a walk over five innings. He did strike out seven and one of the runs was unearned after a throwing error by Andy Burns at third. Chad Jenkins served up a solo dinger and walked a pair in the sixth and Bo Schultz surrendered a run in the seventh on two hits but did strike out two. The recently demoted Ryan Tepera tossed a clean eighth.

Casey Kotchman was the Bisons offence in this one as he deposited a couple of balls over the right field fence at Frontier Field in the fifth and seventh innings. Dalton Pompey had the other Buffalo hit along with the lone walk and stolen base. Both Burns and Alexi Casilla struck out three times among the Herd's 11 total whiffs.

Reading 2 New Hampshire 1

Reading, PA
- It took a while for Jeremy Gabryszwski (3-3, 3.60) to find his groove in this one. He managed to get away with two singles in the first inning and a single and a double in the second inning, thanks to a 6-2-5 putout at home plate. The cheese came off the pizza in the third when an error by Matt Dean at first, a walk and a double gave the Phillies affiliate a lead they would never relinquish. After that, Gabby was perfect as he retired the next 11 hitters in a row. He scattered five hits and a walk over six innings, striking out three while one of his two runs was unearned. Murphy Smith handed out just one free pass over two shutout frames.

Dean's fourth home run of the year gave New Hampshire its only run in the fifth. Their best chance to tie the game came in the eighth when Jason Leblebijian singled and Melky Mesa was hit by a pitch but Dwight Smith Jr. popped out to short to end the inning. Leblebijian had a two-hit game and is 5-for-8 in his first two games at the Double-A level. Smith and Ryan Lavarnway had the other hits. Roemon Fields drew a walk but Rowdy Tellez was 0-for-4 with two strikeouts. Shane Opitz and Jorge Flores were hitless in seven combined plate appearances at the bottom of the order.

DSL Diamondbacks 6 DSL Blue Jays 4

Boca Chica, DR
- The Jays scored the first two runs and the last two runs but they were knocked off the ladder by a six-run seventh from the Snakes. Jose Dominguez and Luis Mendoza each compiled three shutout innings with Dominguez striking out four against two hits and two walks and Mendoza tossing a one-hitter while striking out two. Emmanuel Reyes (0-1) could not get anyone out as he loaded the bases on two hits and a walk in the fateful seventh. Oscar Brito could not save the day as an error by Anderson Green at third base led to the opening run. After a run-scoring groundout, the D-Backs spewed more venom in the form of a grand slam home run. Brito would complete the last three innings but he allowed three unearned runs, same as Reyes.

The Jays opened the scoring in the third with a fielder's choice groundout by Jesus Navarro to plate a leadoff walk by Yhordegny Kelly. It was Kelly who helped set up the second run in the sixth when his double pushed Victor Figuereo's walk to third base before Figuereo raced home on a wild pitch. Figuereo drove in Navarro with a base hit to produce their third run in the seventh. and Cristian Peguero knocked home the final run in the ninth with a single. The Jays had a pair of runners in scoring position with one out but they could not get that game-tying hit. Yorman Rodriguez had two of the Jays seven hits.  Kelly and McGregory Contreras contributed two walks apiece among the Jays nine free passes.
