C's Come Up Huge In The "Euge"

The Vancouver Canadians won the rubber match of their five-game set in Eugene. The other affiliates went 0-3. New Hampshire and Lansing had the night off.

Buffalo Bisons

Brett Oberholtzer was blitzed for six runs on 11 hits in just 2-1/3 innings. Chris Rowley soaked up 4-2/3 innings and gave up just one run despite six hits and three walks. He struck out five and stranded two inherited runners in his Triple-A debut. Wil Browning pitched a scoreless eighth.

The bottom half of the order had all four hits including a hit apiece from Christian Lopes, Roemon Fields and Ian Parmley with Lopes drawing a walk. Mike Ohlman had a free pass but the top five hitters were 0-for-15 collectively.

Dunedin Blue Jays

Jon Berti made his season debut and went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base. D.J. Davis had two hits. Connor Panas had a base hit and was hit by a pitch and is hitting .355 over his last 10 games.

A two-run first inning homer was Conor Fisk's downfall. He pitched five innings of two-run ball on seven hits and a walk while striking out five and getting seven ground ball outs. Zach Jackson recorded his third straight scoreless outing with two groundouts and a strikeout.

Vancouver Canadians

Dany Jimenez made just one mistake, a solo home run, over five inning> He retired the first eight batters and the last seven he faced, striking out five and getting a half-dozen outs on the ground.

Miguel Burgos balked home a run in the sixth after runners were on the corners and gave up a dinger in the seventh.William Ouellette struck out two in the eighth and another in the ninth for a two-inning save.

Norberto Obeso homered to take off Jimenez off the hook. Deiferson Barreto and Kevin Vicuna had RBI singles while Chavez Young doubled home two runs and Lance Jones doubled in another in the seventh. Javier Hernandez made his season debut behind the plate but went 0-for-3. A more detailed recap can be found right here.

DSL Blue Jays

Nathaniel Perez gave up two runs (one earned) over four innings. Adolfo Molina was tagged with the loss with three runs allowed (one earned) in the fifth.

Warnel Valdez was 4-for-4 with a double and a run batted in. Yhon Perez doubled while Rafael Lantigua and Hugo Cardona singled. Steward Berroa walked and stole his 6th base of the year.
