Rowley Rallies Herd To Victory

The affiliates won three and lost five Monday night.

Buffalo Bisons

Jason Leblebijan, Raffy Lopes and Gregorio Petit all had two hits apiece with Lopez homering and walking. Jon Berti singled, walked twice and stole three bases while Roemon Fields had a base hit, a base on balls and two swipes. Rowdy Tellez walked three times.

Chris Rowley got the win with six shutout frames by scattering four hits and a walk with five strikeouts. John Stilson surrendered a run in the seventh. J.P. Howell got nobody out and gave up four runs. Joe Smith, Wil Browning and Chris Smith finished things up with the latter Smith earning the save.


New Hampshire Fisher Cats

Jonathan Davis had two hits, two walks and two runs scored in a 2-for-2 night at the plate. Ryan McBroom had two hits and drove in a run.

Conner Greene only lasted 2-2/3 innings as he was gonged for five runs on five hits and four walks with only two K's. Andrew Case whiffed two in a scoreless ninth.


Dunedin Blue Jays

Max Pentecost had three hits while Bo Bichette, Connor Panas and D.J. Davis had two.

Tayler Saucedo gave up five hits and five walks over five frames but only allowed two runs. Philip Walby, Jackson McClelland and Tom Robsonwere victimized for five unearned runs between them with Walby blowing the save and McClelland taking the loss.


Lansing Lugnuts

Nash Knight walked it off in the 12th with a single to score Rodrigo Orozco who had a four-hit day with a walk and a stolen base. Knight had two hits and a walk and Javier Hernandez also had a pair of knocks.

Kyle Weatherly gave up two homers and three runs total over five frames but had six groundouts and three whiffs. Juliandry Higuera had two scoreless frames and Andrew Deramo put up three goose eggs. Jared Carkuff got the win with three K's over two shutout innings.


Vancouver Canadians

Brody Rodning took the loss after giving up three runs in the first. Chris Hall and Grayson Huffman were hit around too. Only Brayden Bouchey pitched 2-2/3 innings of shutout relief with four strikeouts.

Brock Lundquist doubled, singled and walked. Cullen Large singled and walked twice. Logan Warmoth did not play for a third straight game.


Bluefield Blue Jays

Brandon Grudzielanek was 2-for-4 in his Bluef-Jay debut. Chavez Young, Kevin Smith and Reilly Johnson all doubled.

Josh Winckowski was whacked for five runs over 4-2/3 innings. Marcus Reyes, Kelyn Jose and Ty Tice all mopped up with scoreless relief.


GCL Blue Jays

Dominic Abbadessa had three hits and three runs batted in and was just a long ball short of the cycle. Joseph Reyes had two hits and Hagen Danner had a double and three RBI.

Avery De Los Santos coughed up two runs in the first but Matt Gunter supplied five stellar innings of shutout ball, striking out six in a two-hitter but it was Maverik Buffo who got the win despite an unearned run over two frames.


DSL Blue Jays

Kenny Lantigua had two hits and a stolen base while Hugo Cardona doubled and singled.

Rafael Monsion took the loss despite giving up just two runs on four hits over 5-1/3 innings. He struck out four and had five groundouts.
