Roger Clemens was famous for his strikeouts. He finished his career with 4,672 of them. His son Kacy is not so fond of the K's. In 45 plate appearances Clemens has 15 walks and only seven punch-outs. What would happen if he faced his father? Clemens walked twice, and had two hits, on Wednesday to lead Lansing to victory. One of his hits was a triple, and he stole a base, showing some ability on the bases. New Hampshire also won with Vlad Jr. doing his usual hitting. And Dunedin won with Dalton Pompey having a good night and Anthony Alford one to forget. Just like the Blue Jays it was a sweep night on the farm.

Buffalo were snowed out again. The Bisons have played just five games this season. Most teams in the IL have played between 11 and 13 games. The second lowest total is Rochester at nine. It could take a week or more to get the players back on track to where they would be in shape to get called up. To make matters worse today is an off day for the Bisons.

New Hampshire won again, 5-4, to run their record to 8-3. Vlad Jr. was 2-2 with a double. He also hit a sac fly and was hit by a pitch. Vlad is hitting .349 to lead the team. Bo was 0-5. Jonathan Davis also had two hits, his average is coming up, its now at .244. Every starter, other than Bo, had a hit.

Francisco Rios started and was pitching well into the sixth inning. His line was 5+ IP, 5 hits, no walks, three K's and one run. Four relievers finished the game with Craig Breslow getting the save.

Dunedin came back from 4-1 down to win 8-4. The hitters racked up 12 hits, led by Dalton Pompey. Pompey went 3-4 with two doubles and a walk, pushing his average up to .400. He seems to be ready for a promotion. On the other hand Anthony Alford was 0-4 with four K's. He was hit by a pitch to reach base but he was picked off. Nash Knight is 25 years old and is in the form of his life at the moment. He had two hits on Wednesday to keep his average at .395. Some of the hitters who were slow off the mark are picking up. Riley Adams and Brad Jones each had two hits. Logan Warmoth had one hit but he also made three errors, one throwing and two fielding. That makes it five errors for the season.

Patrick Murphy dodged and weaved his way through trouble. In six innings, he gave up eight hits and two walks. The three errors didn't help, but Murphy was charged with all four runs, two of them earned.

Lansing jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two and held on for a 7-2 win. Donnie Sellers struck out 10 batters a few weeks ago but on Wednesday he had just one K in five innings. He had one dodgy inning and gave up two runs, but pitched very well in the other four. Maximo Castillo pitched the other four innings. He didn't concede a run with three hits allowed.

Kacy Clemens was 2-2 with a triple, 3 RBI, and he walked twice. Clemens has 15 walks, versus 7 strikeouts, in 45 plate appearances. His OBP is .556. Kevin Vicuna and Brock Lundquist each had RBI doubles in the first inning.
