Lansing won their ninth in a row. They are one win shy of their record for consecutive wins. Last year Lansing had Vlad and Bo and rode them to a playoff spot in the first half. This years team doesn't have someone like Vlad or Bo but they keep winning and are currently in a playoff spot. New Hampshire's pitchers gave up 21 hits, they lost. And Dunedin continued their slide.
Buffalo
The Bisons had the day off. Recently itseems as though the weather has been good when the Bisons have an off-day and bad when they are scheduled to play. Buffalo have played around eleven games less than the other affiliates. At the moment it works out because they are short of starting pitchers but long term this will create a pinch when the doubleheaders come.
New Hampshire
It was a bad night for the pitchers in New Hampshire. Three pitchers each conceded seven hits and the Fisher Cats lost 11-1. Francisco Rios hasn't had a good start to 2018 and his struggles continued on Thursday. In five innings he was charged with four runs. Jose Fernandez gave up four more runs and finally, Andrew Case, who also is not having a good 2018, gave up the last three runs.
On the hitting side the Cats had just six hits. Harold Ramirez had two, Vlad, Bo and Biggio had one each although Biggio struck out three times.
Dunedin
Dunedin have hit a rough patch and that continued on Thursday with a 6-2 loss. Logan Warmoth singled and scored in the first inning but committed an error leading off the second that ultimately opened the gates to three runs. Patrick Murphy is still struggling to find himself in the FSL. In five innings the allowed seven its and two walks. Because of the Warmoth error only one of his four runs conceded was earned. He was also helped by his catcher, Alberto Mineo, who threw out two baserunners in one inning. However his 1.51 WHIP needs to improve. Ty Tice gave up a two run home run and he too hasn't found his groove in the FSL.
The Jays had just five hits. Kacy Clemens had the only extra base hit, a double, but he is hitting just .147. Make that three players trying to .....

Lansing won 4-1 behind some unexpectedly good pitching. Turner Larkins has flown under the radar this season but on Thursday he threw six shutout innings with seven K's. He didn't walk anyone and allowed just four hits. Brady Rodning pitched the last three innings and gave up the one run.
The Lugnuts scored three runs in the third inning. Newly called up Brandon Polizzi singled and that was followed by three walks,scoring the first run. Samad Taylor singled to make it 3-0. In the seventh Kevin Vicuna singled, and later scored when Norberto Obeso singled. Taylor and Vicuna led the way with two hits each. Kevin Smith had an off night, just one hit!
