Dunedin led 5-4 with two outs in the bottom of the tenth inning and the tying run was on third. Matt Shannon threw a ball in the dirt, the batter swung and missed, strike three right? In order to complete the strikeout Riley Adams had to throw to first, and that's where the snatch began. Riley's throw was off, the runner was safe, the scores were tied. The next hitter doubled and Chavez Young made a fielding error, the run scored, game over. That was one to forget. Elsewhere, the Bisons won thanks to a couple of home runs which you might have heard about. New Hampshire won, Lansing lost.

Buffalo 5 Syracuse 4

In his last AAA game, Vlad Jr. homered in the seventh to break a 4-4 tie and earn a win for the Bisons. Buffalo outhit Syracuse 13-6 and out homered them by 2-0 but the Bisons walked six versus one by Syracuse. Vlad was 2-5, Cavan Biggio also homered and was 3-4 with a walk. Lourdes Gurriel was 3-5. Patrick Cantwell and Roemon Fields had two hits each. In the OPS race, Gurriel is at 1143, Biggio 1142 and Vlad 1124. Vlad the third best hitter on the team? Unpossible!

Sean Reid-Foley had a SRF type start. He threw 95 pitches without getting through five innings. He walked five and struck out seven and conceded four runs. The Bisons had excellent relief pitching from Dusty Isaacs, Corey Coping and Derek Law.

Trenton 2 New Hampshire 7

A strong hitting performance from New Hampshire, they outhit Trenton 11-7. Chad Spanberger homered, a two run shot, and doubled. Santiago Espinal had three hits and drove in two as well. Vinny Capra and Brock Lundquist also had two hits.

Zach Logue went six innings with two runs allowed, one a solo home run. There were six hits and three walks off Logue but he could only notch one strikeout. Jackson McClelland struck out four in two innings. Bryan Baker walked three bus escaped with a shutout inning.

Dunedin 5 Daytona 6

Other than the end of the game described above, the offense leader was Logan Warmoth who had three hits including a home run. Ryan Noda also homered. Riley Adams had two hits. The Jays had eight hits.

Justin Dillon went five innings and gave up four runs. Kyle Weatherly pitched two strong innings and Matt Shannon was asked to pitch three innings to get the win. Riley's error took the win away from him but he did pitch well.

South Bend 10 Lansing 8

When you give up ten runs the pitching is the story. The fielders did make three errors but all ten runs were earned. Sean Wymer gave up five in 3.2 innings on eight hits and two walks. The other five were charged to Marcus Reyes who didn't walk anyone but gave up six hits including two doubles.

Lansing had eleven hits with seven of them from the first three hitters. Reggie Pruitt was 2-2 with three walks. Pruitt had walked four times this season before this game. Alejandro Kirk was 2-4 with a double off the wall and a home run. Jordan Groshans also had a home run among his three hits. Kirk's OPS is 1067, Groshans is 1046. Hagen Danner singled, his first of the season. McGregory Contreras left after injuring himself diving for a ball.
