Today is the first day of spring training. Pitchers and catchers are in camp and they are working out. The Canadian based reporters are not there so we are still relying on zoom updates. And there were some updates today.
Patrick Murphy arrived in camp with a sore shoulder and is being held out of normal work right now.
Ross Stripling has not arrived as his wife is about to deliver (a baby).
Everyone is competing for a starting pitcher spot. Ross Stripling, Steven Matz, Tyler Chatwood, Trent Thornton, Anthony Kay, and T.J. Zeuch are lined up behind Ryu, Pearson, Ray and Roark.
Jansen, McGuire and Kirk are competing for two catcher spots.
Vlad will get reps at third base.
Lourdes Gurriel will also get reps at third and first.
Teoscar will get reps in left field.
