Dunedin split a doubleheader and Vancouver lost their second straight. Buffalo's game in Moosic, Pennsylvania was suspended and New Hampshire's game in Somerset was rained out.

Buffalo 2 Scranton 0

Nash Knight homered for the Herd. Jacob Waguespack put up three goose eggs against the Yankees affiliate. This game will resume Thursday as part of a doubleheader. Game 2 will be a seven-inning affair.

Everett 7 Vancouver 3

C.J. Van Eyk yielded four runs on seven hits and two walks over four innings against the Mariners affiliate. He struck out four and produced five outs on the fake grass of Hillsboro. Marcus Ryes gave up the other three runs over three innings. Cobi Johnson walked two but whiffed three over two hitless frames.

Davis Schneider hit his second home run of the year and Sebastian Espino drove in a run with a base hit. Luis De Los Santos had a two-hit night while Tanner Kirwer doubled and walked. Cameron Eden singled, walked and stole a base. Philip Clarke and Eric Rivera heard ball four twice. The C's went 1-for-13 with runners in scoring position, stranding 10.

Tampa 7 Dunedin 1 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

Jol Concepcion served up a home run in the first inning to 2019 Yankees first rounder Anthony Volpe. He then loaded the bases on two walks and a single and gave up an unearned run when Mackenzie Mueller mishandled a ball at first but Mueller did wind up throwing out a runner at the plate to end the inning. That was all the runs Concepcion allowed but he never had a clean inning over four frames, giving up five hits and three walks and striking out just one. Patrick Murphy made his 2021 debut and gave up a double and two singles to the first three hitters he faced in the fifth. He threw a wild pitch and walked a batter but rebounded by striking out the side. Jiorgeny Casimiri was jolted for a three-run homer and had another unearned marker over two innings courtesy of a Ryan Sloniger passed ball, one of two on the game. Sloniger did throw out a runner trying to steal third.

Leo Jimenez had a single and two walks while the trio of Orelvis Martinez, Addison Barger and Miguel Hiraldo singled and walked. It was a sloppy game on the basepaths as Martinez was thrown out at second trying to stretch his first-inning single while Jimenez was later picked off at third by the catcher to end that inning. Jimenez would score Dunedin's lone run on a wild pitch in the sixth. Jhon Solarte walked twice and Justin Ammons had a base on balls and threw out a runner at second base from left field.

Dunedin 4 Tampa 3 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

A two-run homer by Zach Britton and RBI singles by Jhon Solarte and Jose Ferrer all came in the first inning and the D-Jays were able to hold on for the doubleheader split. Britton was on base three times with a walk and a hit by pitch while Addison Barger and Miguel Hiraldo got on base twice again with two-hit games. Hiraldo and Solarte also stole a base. Steward Berroa singled and swiped a bag. Orelvis Martinez was 0-for-3.

Jackson Melean was credited with the win by pitching three shutout frames with three hits and a walk allowed while striking out three. Julian Valdez gave up a solo home rum and two unearned runs in the fourth as the result of a passed ball by Ferrer and an error at third by Hiraldo. Valdez also hit a batter. Adrian Hernandez walked two batters but tossed three no-hit innings with six punch outs for the save.
