Jordan Groshans came to the plate in the ninth inning of a tied game with the bases loaded. He doubled to clear them. It was more of a bloop to right than a line drive but he will take it. Dunedin bashed out 16 hits in their win. Buffalo lost in extra innings. Vancouver also lost. To add to the Jays injury woes, TJ Zeuch had to leave the game after being hit by a batted ball.

Scranton 6 Buffalo 4 - 10 innings

New Hampshire 4 Portland 2

Vancouver 2 Spokane 5

Dunedin 17 Lakeland 2

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

TJ Zeuch pitched four innings before leaving the game with a 4-2 lead. Zeuch was hit by a line drive and had to leave the game. Casey Lawrence came on in relief and allowed two runs tying the game. Patrick Murphy pitched two strong innings with three K's and no baserunners. Hobie Harris is usually reliebale but he let in two runs in the tenth.

The hits were evenly spaced, Tyler White was the only hitter with two.

Johnny Barbato delivered just what the Jays wanted when they signed him, seven innings with just an unearned run on his record. M

Jordan Groshans cleared the bases with a double in the ninth to turn a 1-1 tie into a 4-1 lead. Groshans was 2-4. Chavez Young was back after three weeks on the IL. He DH'd and also went 2-4. Shockingly Gabriel Moreno and Otto Lopez both were 0-4 and the Fisher Cats still won.

Sam Ryan made his first start of the season and gave up one run over four innings. Spokane scored four off the normally reliable Brandon Eisert.

The C's had five hits, Cameron Eden had two, both doubles.

After four innings in the D Jays game, they had scored nine runs on four hits. The final hit tally was 16 to 3. The walks were plentiful in this game, the Jays had 16 to match their hit total. On the mound, Naswell Paulino threw five shutout innings with nine K's.

Among the hitters Zac Cook and Ryan Sloniger went deep. Cook had three hits. Leo Jimenez broke his multi-hit game streak, he had one hit and two walks. PK Morris reached base six times, three hits and three walks. Orelvis Martinez had three hits and two walks.
