It was a tough night on the farm, the only win was by New Hampshire in a rain shortened affair. Maximo Castillo pitched well. Buffalo lost twice, Vancouver once. Dunedin battled back from a six run deficit but lost on a walk off. Two games were rained out.

Lehigh Valley 5 Buffalo 4 - game 1

Lehigh Valley 4 Buffalo 0 - game 2

Portland 0 New Hampshire 3 - game 1, six innings

Portland at New Hampshire - game 2, postponed

Vancouver 5 Everett 11

Dunedin 6 Palm Beach 7

FCL Blue Jays at FCL Phillies - postponed

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Game one was the continuation of the 4-1 game postponed yesterday. It was all downhill from the restart. Kirby Snead, who has been good, gave up three runs in an inning. Then Dany Jimenez conceded the losing/winning run in the seventh.

In game two the Bisons were shut down by Phillies prospect Spencer Howard. Just three hit for Buffalo. Tommy Milone started and went three innings. Jackson McClelland followed and gave up all four runs.

The New Hampshire game was rained out in the sixth inning, but still considered a completed game. Jordan Groshans drove in a run in the first with a single and Chavez Young doubled in two in the fifth.

Maximo Castillo had his best start of the season. He threw a five inning two hit shutout with six K's and no walks.

The C's had to face the Mariners number four prospect, George Kirby. He mowed them down through five innings and while Vancouver scored five off the bullpen, it was too little too late. The C's used four pitchers, all of whom conceded runs. Justin Maese gave up five and his ERA is now 6.66. That's a tough return from his injury filled year.

Rafael Lantigua and Luis De Los Santos had two hits each. De Los Santos has had seven multi hit games in his last eight.

Dunedin fought back from a 6-0 deficit to tie the game but lost it to a walk off in the ninth. Naswell Paulino struck out eight in four innings but he allowed ten baserunners and four runs. Julian Valdez took the loss.

The D Jays had just five hits. The biggest hit came from PK Morris who hit a two run home run in the eighth to tie the game. Dasan Brown, Orelvis Martinez and Miguel Hiraldo each had a hit.

Three Stars

Third Star - PK Morris

Second Star - Chavez Young

First Star - Maximo Castillo
