New Hampshire scored four in the bottom of the ninth for the walk off win. Buffalo scored seven in the bottom of the eighth for the almost walk off win. Vancouver can't handle the Everett juggernaut while Dunedin won. The FCL Jays were on the losing end of a walk off.

Syracuse 4 Buffalo 10

Reading 6 New Hampshire 7

Everett 8 Vancouver 2

Lakeland 3 Dunedin 5

FCL Blue Jays 4 FCL Yankees 5 - 8 innings

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Through four innings Zach Logue hadn't allowed a hit and had eight strikeouts. He was cruising. But then the fifth happened. Four hits, two of them doubles and a walk, led to four runs. Logue was done with a generally good performance. This isn't the first time Logue has had a start like this and it suggest he might ultimately end up in the bullpen. John Axford pitched two perfect innings in relief, 25 pitches. The Jays are probably close to making a decision on Axford, likely by the end of the month. He would need a 40 man spot if he was called up. Trent Thornton pitched a 1-2-3 ninth.

The seven run eighth was the big inning. Riley Adams got it started with a two run home to turn a 4-3 deficit into a 5-4 lead. He added an RBI single later in that same inning to make it 10-4. Tyler White and Christian Colon each added a two RBI single in that inning. White had homered earlier. Riley Adams was 4-5 with a double to add to his home run. He scored two and drove in three. Cullen Large had three hits.

A walk off win for New Hampshire with a four run bottom of the ninth. The Reading pitcher was wild, he walked three around an Austin Martin single to make it 6-4. Vinny Capra singled to drive in two and tie the game. Kevin Vicuna singled in the winning run. Martin, Jordan Groshans, Otto Lopez and Samad Taylor each had a pair of hits. Chavez Young homered.

Johnny Barbato started. He allowed a lot of baserunners and five runs in 4.2 innings.

CJ Van Eck got through the first inning but Everett got to him for two runs in the second. Van Eck went five innings, allowing three runs on four hits but he did rack up nine strikeouts. Hagen Danner returned from the IL to pitch an inning.

Just six singles for the C's, Tanner Morris had two. Will Robertson, like Danner, came off the IL for this game. He singled in four at-bats.

Orelvis Martinez did not homer tonight. He did double twice in three at-bats with a walk. Miguel Hiraldo homered, his fifth, and scored two runs. Hugo Cardona had two hits and drove in two runs.

Trent Palmer threw three innings. He did need 64 pitches and he walked four, but he didn't allow an earned run. He truck out six. Andrew Bash pitched five innings in relief allowing two runs. He struck out six.

The first six outs recorded by Dahian Santos were strikeouts. Santos cruised through three innings before conceding a three run home run in the fourth. He ended with eight K's in four innings. Just a note on Rikelbin De Castro. Originally, when he signed, his first name was Rikelvin. Then a few weeks ago, on milb dot com, it changed to Rikelin. Now he is listed as Rikelbin. I sense something is lost in translation.
