Buffalo and Dunedin recorded nice wins. Buffalo laid a whuppin' on Rochester while Dunedin beat the Yankees affiliate in Tampa. Samad Taylor hit a grand slam.

Buffalo 10 Rochester 1

Hartford New Hampshire - Postponed

Vancouver at Tri-City - Postponed

Dunedin 7 Tampa 3

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

The Bisons had to face Cade Cavalli, a top 100 prospect of the Nationals. Moreno faced him three times, he hit three groundballs, two of which went for hits. Moreno ended the night 3-5.

The top of the order dominated for the Bisons. Nathan Lukes, Vinny Capra and Moreno had three hits each. The number nine hitter Nick Podkul chipped in with two hits.

Samad Taylor had just one hit but it was a doozy, a grand slam home run.

Casey Lawrence went six inning, one run allowed on six hits.

For Dunedin, playing the Yankees affiliate in Tampa is always a big test. Last season Tampa ran over the Jays early in the season. Therefore it was nice to see the D Jays winning on Thursday. Rikelbin De Castro had two hits and drove in three runs. Gabriel Martinez also had two hits and drove in two runs. Damiano Palmegiani doubled to drive in a run.

Kendry Rojas gave up three runs in the second inning on three singles. However all the runs were unearned due to a two out error. Rojas went five innings with just one other hit allowed over the other four innings.

Three Stars

Third Star - Kendry Rojas

Second Star - Samad Taylor

First Star - Rikelbin De Castro
