Get ready Vancouver bauxites, Ricky Tiedemann has shown he should be there. He threw five perfect innings today with nine K's. In twenty innings this season has conceded five hits with 33 K's. His lone blemish is the ten walks but he didn't walk anyone on Friday. Dunedin shutout Bradenton. Maximo Castillo pitched well for New Hampshire and two solo home runs were enough offense. Buffalo lost but Jordan Groshans did well on his AAA debut. Vancouver were rained out.

Buffalo 6 Worcester 8

Reading 1 New Hampshire 2

Vancouver at Hillsboro - postponed

Dunedin 7 Bradenton 0

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Baseball can be a funny game sometimes. Jordan Groshans hit .211 in Dunedin on a rehab assignment. So what does he do in his first AAA game? He singled in a run in his first at-bat. He had an RBI ground out in his second, and doubled off the wall in left in his third. Otto Lopez is hitting .063 in Dunedin, he will probably hit the ground running in AAA next week. Unfortunately Groshans hit into a double play his fourth time up. Samad Taylor tripled and scored. Gabriel Moreno had one hit in five tries. Dexter Fowler and Nathan Lukes also had two hits each.

Shaun Anderson was beaten up pretty good, seven runs on ten hits in 4.1 innings.

Maximo Castillo was back to good Maximo. He allowed just one run in six innings. Once again he K'd more than his innings, seven K's to two walks in six.

NH scored their two runs on back to back home runs. Will Robertson and Ryan Gold each hit their first shots of the year in the fifth. Tanner Morris had two hits to keep his batting average just under .300.

As mentioned above Ricky Tiedemann was dominant with five perfect innings. Jimmy Robbins followed and threw three shutout innings, just two hits allowed.

Angel Del Rosario had a good game for the Dunedin Jays going 3-4 with three RBI. Del Rosario plays short at we know he can run. He is listed at six feet tall, looks athletic, and when I watched some of the game seemed to have a quick bat. He played in the FCL last season and is now in Dunedin at age 19. Definitely one to watch for the rest of the season. Another hitter who has been scuffling is Gabriel Martinez, he had two hits. I also saw Damiano Palmegiani make some fine plays at third and show a strong arm. He does have a powerful build, he just needs to hit enough.

Three Stars

Third Star - Maximo Castillo

Second Star - Angel Del Rosario

First Star - Ricky Tiedemann
