Two walk off wins. Durham had to decide whether to pitch to Otto Lopez or Gabriel Moreno. They made the wrong choice. It was a nooner at the Nat and PK Morris sent the fans home happy with two home runs including a walk off big fly. Ricky Tiedemann pitched pretty well but was the hard luck loser for Dunedin.

Durham 4 Buffalo 5

New Hampshire at Somerset - postponed

Everett 6 Vancouver 7

Clearwater 2 Dunedin 0

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Shaun Anderson got back on the good side with six strong inning. He allowed two solo home runs. The first reliever was Adrian Hernandez who pitched a clean inning. He now has pitched six AAA innings with no hits allowed. He has walked two and struck out eight. This almost perfection will not last but he is rising on the next call-up list. Kyle Johnston, who has been pitching well, surrendered a two run home run in the ninth.

With the game now tied, Mallex Smith worked a walk to lead off the ninth. Nate Lukes doubled to put runners on second and third. Otto Lopez was due up, with Gabriel Moreno on deck. Moreno was 3-4 with three RBI in the game. The Durham manager decided to walk Lopez intentionally and pitch to Moreno. Mistake! He singled to right to drive in the winning run and complete a 4-5 night with four RBI. And he also threw out a runner at second.

After I talked about Jordan Groshans hitting .400 yesterday, he went 0-4.

Former Blue Jay Cal Stevenson is playing for Durham. He is hitting .259.

The C's trailed 6-0 in the sixth. PK Morris hit a three run home run to halve the deficit. In the eighth Davis Schneider singled in a run and Mac Mueller doubled in two to tie the game. Then in the bottom of the ninth Morris homered for the second time for the walk off. Mueller and Leo Jimenez each had three hits.

Naswell Paulino started but only went four innings, conceding four runs on seven hits.

Dunedin out hit Clearwater 8-4 but lost. Clearwater got three of their hits in the second inning, single, double and single. The runs came off Ricky Tiedemann who showed he is human. Tiedemann went five innings with just two walks allowed in the other four innings. He struck out six. Jimmy Robbins went four innings. He has thrown 10 innings over three appearances. He has a zero ERA, a 1.10 WHIP and 13 K's.

Estivan Machado had two hits to get his average up to .300.Rainer Nunez also had two hits.

Three Stars

Third Star - Mac Mueller
