Syracuse 0 Buffalo 2

New Hampshire 7 Erie 8

Tri-City 3 Vancouver 4

Dunedin 4 Daytona 0 - rain shortened

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Maximo Castillo made his AAA debut and was outstanding. He went seven shutout inning with two hits and two walks allowed. He struck out eight.

Eric Stamets homered for the first run. Jordan Groshans singled in the second run. Groshans was 2-3 and is hitting .351. Nate Lukes also had two hits and he is hitting .331. Gabriel Moreno is day to day after being hit in the elbow on Thursday.

New Hampshire did not get good pitching. Paxton Schultz gave up a run in each of his four innings. The Fisher Cats fought back from a 7-2 deficit but came up a run short.

Rafael Lantigua went 2-4 with a walk, drove in two and scored two. Both of his hits were doubles. Luis De Los Santos also had two hits and two RBI. Tanner Morris doubled, again.

Ricky Tiedemann made his Vancouver debut. He went 4.2 innings, striking out nine. He did give up two runs in the second inning. He hit a batter then gave up a single but an error by Harry Ray left runners on second and third with two outs. The next hitter hit a fly ball that landed between the second baseman, centre fielder and right fielder. A perfectly placed fly ball. Those were the only two hits Ricky allowed.

Zach Britton tied the game with a two run home run in the fourth inning. He also scored the third run thanks to a couple of wild pitches following his single. Addison Barger singled in the fourth run. Britton, Barger and Cameron Eden had two hits each.

Dahian Santos was again dominant for Dunedin. Santos went five shutout innings with eight K's. He gave up one hit and one walk. This game ended in the top of the eighth due to lightning, and rain.

It looks like Chavez Young is finding his stroke again, he was with a home run and two runs scored. He also walked. Damiano Palmegiani doubled twice and scored once. Rainer Nunez also had two hits.

Three Stars

Third Star - Dahian Santos
