 Buffalo won. New Hampshire, Vancouver and Dunedin did the opposite.

Buffalo 3 Lehigh Valley 2

Zack Collins singled home a run in the first inning to put the Bisons ahead for good to knock off the Phillies affiliate. Nathan Lukes launched his fifth homer of the year in the sixth and is now hitting .301 with an OPS of .819. An error led to the eventual winning run in the eighth. Otto Lopez had two hits while Tanner Morris and Jordan Groshans had a single and a walk. Samad Taylor was 0-for-4.

Mike Ellenbest was the opener for the Herd and struck out two in a perfect first inning. Maximo Castillo went the next four frames and scattered a hit, a walk and a hit by pitch to get the win. He struck out four to lower his ERA to 66 cents. Nate Pearson surrendered a solo home run to Mickey Moniak but struck out four over two innings of two-hit ball. Brandon Eisert allowed another run in the eighth but Adrian Hernandez locked it down in the ninth by working around a hit and a walk. He struck out two to earn his sixth save.


Somerset 6 New Hampshire 5

The Yankees affiliate scored the first six runs of the game to get the win over the Fisher Cats. Phil Clarke got the Cats on the board with an RBI single in the sixth before Cam Eden hit a bases-clearing three-run double. L.J. Talley had a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Spencer Horwitz followed up his Eastern League Player of the Week Award with a three-hit night, including a double, boosting his batting average to .277 and OPS to .868. Orelvis Martinez had two doubles and a walk. Clarke and Eden had two hits apiece with Eden getting an extra-bagger.

Luis Quinoñes worked around a hit and three walks to put up four shutout innings as he struck out five. Andrew Bash allowed five runs in the fifth and Marcus Reyes gave up the other in the sixth. Gabriel Ponce faced the minimum nine batters over three frames, allowing just one hit while whiffing three.


Eugene 9 Vancouver 4

The C's jumped out to a 2-0 first inning lead on an Addison Barger RBI double and a Tyler Keenan sacrifice fly. Garrett Spain doubled home a run in the second to make it 3-2 Vancouver before things fell apart against the Giants affiliate. Trevor Schwecke drove in the other run for Monty's Mounties with an RBI knock in the fifth. Davis Schneider doubled, singled and walked on the heels of his Northwest League Player of the Week Award. He is now sporting a .240 BA and a .821 OPS. Spain also had a two-hit night. Barger drew a walk while Steward Berroa heard ball four once and stole his 12th base of the year.

Sem Robberse needed just six pitches to retire the side in order in the first inning and struck out the first two men he faced in the second before giving up a single and a home run. He wound up allowing seven runs (five earned after a Miguel Hiraldo fielding error at second) on eight hits, two walks and a plunk in 4-2/3 innings. Alejandro Melean stranded two runners for Robberse and put together 2-1/3 shutout innings of one-hit ball, striking out four. Mark Simon surrendered a home run as part of a two-run eighth. Lefty Braden Scott struck out the side in the ninth in his C's debut.


Dunedin 3 Jupiter 1

An Adrian Pinto RBI fielder's choice gave the D-Jays the first run of the game against the Marlins affiiliate but the Hammerheads scored three times in the sixth for the win. Juan Gonzalez had two of Dunedin's four hits. Amell Brazoban doubled and took one for the team while Damiano Palmegiani had a hit and a walk, running his BA to .262 and his OPS to .883. Estiven Machado walked and Rikelbin De Castro was also hit by a pitch.

Lefty Trenton Wallace allowed just one hit and one walk and struck out seven over five shutout frames. The former Iowa Hawkeye was in line for the win but Matt Svanson blew the save and took the loss as he allowed three runs on four hits and a walk with just one K.
