Buffalo split a doubleheader, New Hampshire and Dunedin won big and Vancouver threw one out of the window.

Syracuse Buffalo 4 (Game 1 - 7 Innings)

You can't sugarcoat this. Andrew Moore was awful. He was mauled for five home runs, allowing seven runs in total over 1-2/3 innings. Somehow he managed to strike out one. He did not walk anyone because everything was so hittable. Jake Elliott served up two more gopher balls. Nobody took Eric Yardley yard in two innings nor Mike Ellenbest with Yardley racking up two K's and Ellenbest striking out the side.

A Stevie Berman RBI groundout and a Nick Podkul three-run home run accounted for the Herd's runs against the Mets. Spencer Horwitz doubled twice as part of a three-hit performance in his Triple-A debut. Jordan Groshans doubled and singled. Otto Lopez was 0-for-4.

Buffalo 6 Syracuse 4 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

The Bisons scored five times in the sixth to pull out a come-from-behind win. Eric Stamets drove in Buffalo's first run with a double to open the scoring in the second. Cullen Large had a sacrifice fly before a Logan Warmoth RBI single, a balk and a two-run double by Stamets capped off the comeback. Chavez Young had a hit and a walk and Spencer Horwitz had a hit. Danny Jansen was 1-for-3 with a strikeout. Nick Podkul walked three times. Bowden Francis gave up a home run, four fewer than Moore. That was the only blemish in Francis' three frames as he struck out six. Brandon Eisert allowed two runs in 1-2/3 innings, none via the home run. Joe Biagini did serve one up though but got the win.Tayler Saucedo got the save with a shutout seventh.

New Hampshire 11 Hartford 6

A three-run triple by Trevor Schwecke and a wild pitch gave New Hampshire four runs in the third against the Rockies affiliate. Orelvis Martinez homered twice to give him 19 on the year and drove in three runs. Rafael Lantigua doubled home a run and hit a three-run shot for his first dinger of the year, snapping a 6-6 tie in the eighth. John Aiello had a triple, a single and was hit by a pitch. Every Fisher Cat hitter reached base either by hit, walk or plunk.

Luis Quiñones gave up a run on one hit and four walks while striking out four over four innings. Sean Mellen gave up two runs in two innings and Gabriel Ponce gave up three in his one inning. Parker Caracci got the win with two goose eggs and four strikeouts.

Everett 6 Vancouver 5

The C's wasted too many opportunities and paid the price against the Mariners affiliate. Zach Britton had an RBI single in the first and Andrés Sosa had an RBI double in the second. P.K. Morris tripled home two runs in the third but would leave the game by rolling an ankle on defence at first in the next half-inning. Mack Mueller's RBI grounder gave the C's a 5-4 lead in the eighth before things fell apart. Addison Barger had three hits and a walk and Damiano Palmegiani, Tyler Keenan and Miguel Hiraldo had two hits apiece. Hiraldo was 1-for-2 in stealing bases.

Sem Robberse went to three balls on the first five hitters of the game and made it through just four innings, giving up three runs on four hits and two walks. He struck out four but only threw 40 of 72 pitches for strikes. Abdiel Mendoza offset two hits with two whiffs in a scoreless fifth. Mark Simon gave up an unearned run in 1-2/3 innings. Justin Kelly stranded a Simon runner but took the loss by giving up a game-tying homer in the eighth and a game-losing sac fly.

Dunedin 7 Clearwater 0

Gabriel Martinez put the D-Jays in flight with a two-run homer in the first inning against the Phillies affiliate. Estiven Machado had an RBI single. Adriel Sotolongo drove in another with a double and Jommer Hernandez singled home the final run. Dasan Brown, Machado and Martinez all had two hits apiece at the top of the order and Hernandez was also in the two-hit club. Rainer Nuñez had the other base knock.

Trenton Wallace put together five shutout innings by scattering three hits and two walks while striking out five. Cooper Benson also struck out five over three innings of three-hit ball. Kelvin Perez finished up with a one-hit ninth.
