Buffalo and Dunedin won with the D-Jays getting lots of contributions from the 2022 draft class. New Hampshire and Vancouver lost.

Buffalo 4 Syracuse 3

Stevie Berman's blast in the fifth inning was the tie-breaker to give the Herd the win over the Mets. Nathan Lukes singled home two runs in the first and the other Buffalo run came on a balk. Lukes had two hits, Logan Warmoth and Chavez Young had the others. Young was hit by a pitch also threw out a runner at third from left field. Berman also had a base on balls and Vinny Capra walked twice.

Shaun Anderson allowed a run in the first two innings and Nick Allgeyer gave up the other runs in his two innings but got the win. Matt Gage and Graham Spraker struck out two in their shutout frames. Brandon Eisert got the next five outs, three by strikeouts. Vinny Nittoli whiffed three among his 1-1/3 innings for the save.


Eire 9 New Hampshire 6

The Fisher Cats fell behind 5-0, closing the gap to 5-4 and 7-6 before falling to the Tigers affiliate. Orelvis Martinez cleared the bases with a double but was thrown out trying to get a triple. Zach Britton and Martinez both went deep for solo shots in the seventh and eighth. Phil Clarke had a sacrifice fly. Martinez, Britton and John Aiello had two hits apiece and Luis De Los Santos had the other. Addison Barger, Cam Eden and Will Robertson walked twice with Eden stealing his 21st base of the year.

Alejandro Melean gave up four runs on four hits (including a homer) and two walks with two strikeouts over 3-2/3 innings to take the loss. Gabriel Ponce allowed one of Melon's runners to score before getting the final out of the fourth. Paxton Schultz surrendered three runs (two earned) in four innings and Sean Rackoski was roughed up for two runs in the ninth.


Eugene 4 Vancouver 2

The Giants affiliate snapped the C's five-game winning streak. Vancouver got its only runs in the final two innings with a Miguel Hiraldo homer and an RBI single. Hiraldo also drew a walk. Dasan Brown had two hits and Gabby Martinez had a double and a free pass. Rainer Nuñez and Garrett Spain had the other hits.

Abdiel Mendoza took the loss by giving up three runs (one earned) on four hits, three walks and a hit by pitch over 4-2/3 innings. Mendoza struck out three and recorded seven outs on the ground. Matt Svanson stranded a runner and struck out one over 1-1/3 perfect innings. Eric Pardinho allowed the other run over two innings.


Dunedin 9 Tampa 1

The Yankees affiliate scored first in the top of the second before the D-Jays rattled off the next nine runs for the W. Peyton Williams tied the game with a fielder's choice before Michael Turconi broke the tie with a two-run single in the third. Dunedin poured it on in the eighth when José Ferrer took one for the team with the bases loaded. That was followed by an RBI single by Devonte Brown, a two-run knock by Josh Kasevich, an infield RBI single by Cade Doughty and a Williams RBI groundout. Kasevich had three hits while Doughty and Turconi had two apiece. Alan Roden walked twice and Dylan Rock

Brady Lail pitched the first two frames and gave up the only run. Julian Merryweather, Adrian Hernandez, Jiorgeny Casimiri, Ben Baggett and Trey Cumbie combined for seven shutout innings of relief. Merryweather whiffed two in his one inning, Hernandez struck out four in 1-1/3 innings of one-hit ball and Cumbie pitched two innings for the save with a K/BB total of 3-1.
