It hasn't been a good year for New Hampshire and Thursday's game was not great in all aspects. But Addison Barger had four hits and Cam Eden hit a three run home run in the eleventh inning for the win. Buffalo had some big hits and good pitching from four pitchers who have pitched in the majors for a win. Dunedin had a walk off win, just like New Hampshire. Vancouver played a day after clinching a playoff spot and lost.

Gwynett 2 Buffalo 6

New Hampshire 11 Reading 7 - 11 innings

Eugene 10 Vancouver 3

Palm Beach 3 Dunedin 4 - 10 innings

This is what I noted from yesterday's games.

Yoshi Tsutsugo hit a three run home run in the sixth inning to put this game to bed. Steve Berman had hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to tie the game. Buffalo scored six runs with six hits. Rafael Lantigua was 2-4. Vinny Capra doubled and walked twice.

Casey Lawrence went five innings with a solo home run allowed. Nate Pearson threw a nine pitch sixth. Thomas Hatch now is out of the bullpen it seems and he pitched the seventh and eighth. Matt Gage finished up.

I don't know if you could call the New Hampshire game a well played game but it was a game. Tied at four, New Hampshire scored two runs in the eighth with a double by Will Robertson. In the bottom of the eighth Juan Nunez walked two, threw a wild pitch, then hit a batter, then struck out the next hitter on a wild pitch letting a run score and making it a one run game. In the ninth a lead off walk by Andrew Bash was followed by a double and we were tied. Addison Barger doubled in the ghost runner in the tenth but Bash gave up a lead off single to old friend Kevin Vicuna in the bottom of the inning and we were tied yet again.

In the eleventh a bunt, a walk and a wild pitch let NH take the lead again. After another walk, Cam Eden had enough of small ball and deposited the pitch over the fence for a three run home run and a four run lead.

Addison Barger was 4-5 with three doubles for a total of seven bases. Sebastian Espino homered, his 14th. He is also hitting .191 for a feast or famine approach. Luis Quinones started and did have seven K's in five innings but he also gave up four runs on six hits.

In a game that didn't mean much, the C's lost heavily to their playoff opponents, Eugene. Chad Dallas did OK through three innings but was hit around for five runs in the fourth before being removed. The relivers didn't do much better as Eugene built a 10-0 lead.

The C's had just four hits, Garrett Spain had two.

The D Jays scored in the eighth, ninth and tenth innings for the win. It was a welcome win for the Jays as they chase a playoff spot. Devonte Brown had the winning hit, a single to centre field.

Palm Beach had three big hits, a lead off triple in the first inning which led to a 1-0 lead, a solo home run in the seventh to make it 2-0. And after the Jays tied the game, another triple in the ninth gave Palm Beach the lead. In the bottom of the ninth Dylan Rock singled and Ryan McCarty doubled with two outs to move Rock to third. A passed ball tied the game.

Manuel Beltre and Cade Doughty had two hits each.
