Barger Walks It Off, Dunedin Finished Off

Buffalo won. Dunedin did not.

Buffalo 3 Rochester 2 (10 Innings)

The first Triple-A hit for Addison Barger was a walk-off as he singled home the winning run in overtime. Rafael Lantigua lifted a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning to begin the scoring. L.J. Talley homered in the ninth to tie it. Barger, Talley and Nathan Lukes all had a hit and a walk. Otto Lopez and Cullen Large heard ball four twice. Davis Schneider walked once.

Bowden Francis pitched two innings of one-hit ball and struck out three. Thomas Hatch followed with two shutout frames that included two punchouts. Yosver Zulueta put up a zero despite a hit and a walk as he struck out one in the fifth. Adrian Hernandez allowed a run in the sixth. Jackson Rees struck out two in a shutout seventh. Hayden Juenger gave up a solo homer in the eighth and also walked two batters. Eric Yardley got the next four outs and Foster Griffin got the final two outs to get the win.


St. Lucie 6 Dunedin 3 (Game 2 - Florida State League Final)

The Dunedin Blue Jays were swept in the FSL Final by the Mets. Rafael Sanchez surrendered all six runs in 3-2/3 innings, giving up a home run and eight other hits while striking out two. Eliander Alcalde could only strand one of two Sanchez runners but struck out four over three shutout frames. Harry Rutkowski finished up with 1-1/3 shutout innings of one-hit ball, striking out one and stranding a runner for Alcalde.

Roque Salinas drove in all three Dunedin runs with a home run in the sixth. Cade Doughty and Peyton Williams each had a pair of hits and a walk and Williams was also hit by a pitch. Doughty was doubled off at second on an Estiven Machado line out to third to end the game with Machado being the tying run at the plate. Josh Kasevich had a hit and a walk. Machado and Devonte Brown each had a single. Alan Roden walked and was plunked, Ryan McCarty took one for the team and Victor Mesia walked.
