New Hampshire had the only win on the farm and their record is 3-0. Jimmy Robbins got 2023 off to a good start. There wasn't a lot to get excited about on Saturday. Nicolas Deschamps hit a home run, singled, walked, and drove in two runs.

NOTES

The Buffalo pitchers took a pounding. Each of Bowden Francis, Hayden Juenger, Brandon Eisert and Trent Thornton gave up multiple runs. Juenger struck out five in two innings but allowed five hits.

Jimmy Robbins continued his good form from 2022 pitching five shutout innings with just two hits allowed. Robbins was not ranked by most prospect evaluators in the off-season. His fastball does not light up the radar guns (91 mph) and he needs pinpoint control to survive in the big leagues. Will he be another Casey Lawrence or a Shaun Marcum type. As the scouts say "the hitters will let you know" and as of now the hitters are saying this is a good pitcher.

Luis De Los Santos hit a two run home run to give NH the lead. De Los Santos spent most of 2022 in Manchester, and a little time in Buffalo, and probably deserved to be in Buffalo this season. He could get there later this year.

Eliander Alcalde has got some underground buzz and the 19 year old threw three shutout innings for Dunedin. Yondrei Rojas, Kelvin Perez and Lazaro Estrada did not fare as well.
