NOTES

It hasn't been a good week for Buffalo's starting pitchers. With all five having pitched this week, they have conceded 22 runs in 15 innings. Lawrence, Zulueta and Thompson were all hit hard. Luke Bard seems to be the fifth starter. He was charged with four runs today. Drew Hutchison was the best of the week.

Jimmy Robbins didn't have his best day. He left after 4.2 inning having allowed a run and with two men on. Those two scored, making it three on his record. He struck out five and still has a 2.79 ERA.

Alan Roden had another two hits and another double today.

The T's are playing well for Vancouver. Riley Tirotta scored the go ahead run and drove in the last run. In a very small sample he has a 1.122 OPS. Michael Turconi has a 1.126 OPS. He was 1-2 with a walk.

Free agent Alex Amalfi went four shutout innings for Dunedin. Just one hit allowed. Walks are his main issue right now, six in six innings. Amalfi has a four pitch mix with a fastball that averages 93 mph. Yondrei Rojas went 3.2 innings and gave up one run.

Sammy Hernandez, 18 years old and a 14th round pick last season, hit his first pro home run. The Jays must think highly of him to have him n Dunedin at 18. He had two hits and is currently hitting .250.

Rikelbin De Castro hit a two run home run in the eighth to make it a comfortable lead for the Jays.

Tucker Toman hit a triple.
