With one exception it was not a good night for pitchers on the farm with Adam Macko taking the worst beat down. The exception was Rafael Sanchez who fanned 11 for Dunedin. Hagen Danner made an appearance and Tucker Toman had a big night. Dunedin were your only winners.

Buffalo 1 Gwinnett 6

Hartford 8 New Hampshire 4

Eugene 11 Vancouver 7

Bradenton 5 Dunedin 9 - 8 innings

Three Stars

Third Star - Glenn Santiago

Second Star - Rafael Sanchez

First Star - Tucker Toman

It was not a good night for the New Hampshire pitchers. Jimmy Robbins, Luis Quinones, Adrian Hernandez and Jimmy Burnette all gave up runs. Robbins has not found his 2022 form yet, seven hits in four innings.

Dylan Rock was an eight round selection last year out of Texas A&M. He didn't do anything to distinguish himself last season and so it was a surprise when he went to AA this year. He has hit the ground running, currently hitting .409 with two hits on Thursday. His BABIP is over .500 so the hot streak is unlikely to continue but its good while it lasts.

Adam Macko had a very rough start for Vancouver. He was charged with eight runs on ten hits in just 3.2 innings. For the C's offense, Alan Roden and Cade Doughty had two hits each. Garrett Spain doubled with the bases loaded to drive in three runs.

Rafael Sanchez was again dominating in his start for Dunedin. In 5.2 innings he struck out eleven and walked one. He allowed one hit and lowered his ERA to 1.14. Sanchez got 16 whiffs, seven on his slider. Sanchez was perfect through five innings before a hit, a walk and an error ended his night.

Sanchez was replaced by Hagen Danner, making his first appearance of the season. He was very shaky to start, going double, wild pitch, walk, wild pitch before striking out the batter to end the inning. He came back out for the seventh and retired two before walking a hitter and ending his night on 30 pitches. His fastball averaged 97 mph.

Tucker Toman had a big night, 2-3 with two walks and three rbi, all of which came on a triple. Glenn Santiago was 3-5 with a double.
