Leo Jimenez homered for the second night in a row, a positive sign. It was one of few positive signs on Thursday. In fact it was an almost typical night, Vancouver won easily while the other three teams lost.

NOTES

It was a bullpen day for Buffalo. Hagen Danner started and was the best of the pitchers, 2.1 perfect innings. Buffalo might have run short of pitchers because LJ Talley came on to pitch in the eighth in a three run game. It wouldn't be allowed in the major leagues. He did get an out on a caught stealing. Addison Barger and Luis De Los Santos each drove in two runs. Cam Eden had three hits.

The Bisons outhit Rochester 13-6 but lost. Two Rochester home runs were the difference. Addison Barger and Luis De Los Santos each drove in two runs. Cam Eden had three hits.

Adam Kloffenstein went six innings for New Hampshire. He did have ten baserunners, eight hits and two walks, and ten K's. He did allow four runs.

Leo Jimenez homered for the second night in a row, he seems to be tapping into his power. New Hampshire had just three hits in the game.

Vancouver were losing 4-0 after three innings but scored eleven runs off the Hillsboro bullpen to win. Adam Macko started and gave up the four runs.

Alex De Jesus got the comeback started by tripling in Dasan Brown and then scoring on a sac fly. De Jesus hit a sac fly of his own in the sixth to score Michael Turconi who also tripled. It was more of the same in the seventh, Turconi tripled again to score two runs, then De Jesus singled in Turconi to give the C's the lead for the first time. De Jesus was 2-4 with three RBI. Turconi was 3-5 with four RBI. Dasan Brown was 4-5 with two RBI. Gabriel Martinez also had three hits. Brown has been hitting well since the middle of June.

The Dunedin Jays had just five hits. Jeffrey Wehler had two hits, he is hitting .400 with an OPS of 1.173. He could probably be entitled to a promotion to Vancouver but I don't know if there is somewhere for him to play there. If Alex De Jesus gets a late season promotion to AA, Wehler could take his place.

Gage Stanifer started in the FCL. He allowed five runs in 4.1 innings and his ERA is now 6.53. Stanifer was a 19th round pick last season out of an Indiana high school. Stanifer has 24 strikeouts in 20.1 innings and has walked ten. He has given up 23 hits and his WHIP is 1.60. Exactly 50% of his baserunners have scored. That number is high and suggests he needs to work on his pitching with runners on base.
