The affiliates bounced back after lots of losing on Saturday, in fact it was a Sunday sweep. Buffalo scored 17, New Hampshire 13, Dunedin 11 and Vancouver 8. It's just a few weeks but its nice to see some offense after a couple of seasons without much on that side of the ball. Some guys who have been hot stayed hot, Alan Roden went deep twice, Ryan McCarty drove in five and Spencer Horwitz and Will Robertson reached base five times.

Rochester 0 Buffalo 17

Somerset 9 New Hampshire 13

Hillsboro 7 Vancouver 8

Dunedin 11 Tampa 4

Three Stars

Third Star - Spencer Horwitz

Second Star - Ryan McCarty

First Star - Alan Roden

NOTES

The Bisons outhit Rochester 15-1. Five pitchers combined on the one hitter which wasn't quite as good as it sounds. The five pitchers walked ten Red Wing hitters.

The 17 runs came with just one home run. That home run by Orelvis Martinez scored the last three of the 17 runs in the eighth inning. It was Orelvis's only hit. The list of offensive achievements is long. Spencer Horwitz had three hits and two walks. Will Robertson had one hit but walked four times. Addison Barger, Damiano Palmegiani and Rafael Lantigua each had two hits.

The Fisher Cats had four home runs. Gabriel Martinez had a solo shot in the second inning. Alan Roden hit a pair of two run shots. Garrett Spain hit his fourth, and third in as many games. Michael Turconi had two hits and Miguel Hiraldo drove in three runs.

CJ Van Eyk started and was a bit wild, and gave up four runs in three innings. Trent Palmer and Hunter Gregory also gave up runs. Ian Churchill and Jimmy Burnette nailed it down with shutdown eighth and ninth innings.

Vancouver trailed 7-3 heading to the bottom of the ninth. The first two hitters got out, leaving the C's down to their final out. But two hit batters and an error loaded the bases, tying run at the plate. Dasan Brown singled in two runs, Ryan McCarty doubled in two more to tie the game. That left Nick Goodwin to single in the winning run for a walk off win. Earlier McCarty had hit a three run home run. His ninth inning double gave him five RBI for the game. He was the only C's hitter with two hits.

Pat Gallagher started and gave up two unearned runs in the first inning. He went four and a third. Josh Mollerus walked four in an inning on the way to Hillsboro scoring five in the sixth. Rafael Ohashi backed into the win.

Eleven runs on eleven hits for the Dunedin Jays with no home runs. Three guys off to slow starts had a pair of hits each. Manuel Beltre, Bryce Arnold and Edward Duran were the three.

Landon Maruodis was a bit wild. He walked four in 4.1 innings. He also struck out four and only gave up one hit.
