Vancouver played two and won both. Both their starting pitchers were excellent. The FCL Jays also won but the other three teams lost. There was a scary end to the Buffalo game.

In other news, Ricky Tiedemann is throwing again and should be in an FCL game next week. His return is timely as Chad Dallas and Trent Palmer are both on the IL. Also Alejandro Melean was released.

NOTES

The Buffalo game was called in the bottom of the seventh. Bisons catcher Payton Henry was hit in the back of the head by a follow through and collapsed on the field. Henry was taken to hospital and is responsive there.

Connor Cooke had come in to pitch in that seventh inning in a tied game and gave up two runs. Yariel Rodriguez started, threw 43 pitches over two innings, walked two and gave up two hits.

Buffalo scored both their runs in the first inning. Steward Berroa and Spencer Horwitz doubled to start the game. Orelvis singled to make it 2-0. The Bisons had just two more hits over the next six inning. Horwitz had one of them for his two hit night.

New Hampshire gave up eight runs. Devereaux Harrison started and Akron scored four off him in four innings. Ian Churchill gave up the other four in the eighth.

Phil Clarke had three of the Cats seven hits. One was a double. Gabriel Martinez had an RBI double.

Vancouver's first game was a pitching battle. The C's walked it off in the bottom of the seventh for a 1-0 win. Ryan Jennings went five shutout innings, three hits, four walks, three K's. Estiven Machado scored the winning run on a fielders choice by Jace Bohrofen. Machado had walked and moved up on a single by Dasan Brown, one of his two hits in the game.

Dasan Brown didn't have a hit in game two but he walked twice. He scored the first run when he stole second and scored with two Tri-City errors. Nick Goodwin hit his fifth home run for Vancouver's second run. Glenn Santiago singled in the third run and a Machado sac fly scored the fourth.

Chris McElvain went six shutout innings, four hits, five walks, six K's. Rafael Ohashi gave up three runs without getting an out.

The D Jays had ten hits but lost. Big Christian Felix had two doubles and scored twice. Edward Duran also had a double and drove in two. First baseman Daniel Perez went 3-5.
