NOTES
Steward Berroa led the offense for Buffalo. He singled and tripled and drove in three runs. Nick Raposo also had two hits. The priority guys, Roden, Kasevich and Clase, each had a hit and an RBI.
Five pitchers combined on a three hut shutout. Among the pitchers were newly claimed Dillon Tate and Paxton Schultz who threw three innings. Schultz is the workhorse of the bullpen. He can start or relieve, and do both well. He has appeared in 36 games and made seven starts. He has a .96 ERA and 104 K's in 84 innings.
Devereaux Harrison had a very good start for New Hampshire. In five innings he gave up one run on two hits with six K's. Trent Palmer took the loss by allowing three runs in the seventh inning.
Just five hits, all singles, for the Cats.
Jace Bohrofen homered to start the bottom of the first to get Vancouver started. Singles by Peyton Williams and Brennan Orf helped the C's add two more in that inning. That 3-0 lead held up until the fifth when Eugene hit a three run home run. The game remained tied until the ninth. An error allowed Orf to reach base. Two walks had the bases loaded with one out. Adrian Pinto hit a ground ball to short. The shortstop came home for one out and the catcher tried to get the back end of the double play at first. But the first baseman made an error, run scored and Vancouver win.
Connor O'Halloran went five innings and was charged with that three run home run. He struck out eight. Geison Urbaez went the last four innings with just one runner reaching through an error. He struck out five.
Dunedin's game was scheduled for seven innings but went nine. In the ninth JP Freethy hit an inside the park two run home run which was the winning margin. Earlier in that inning Carter Cunningham hit a sac fly. Dunedin had three hits total in the game but won 5-3.
Adam Macko made another rehab start for Dunedin. He struck out seven in four shutout innings. He looks ready to return to AA which he will have to do as Dunedin finish their season this week.
