Notes

The Bisons scored first and last but definitely not the most. Jonatan Clase and Riley Tirotta had RBI singles. Orelvis Martinez tripled and doubled and Rafael Lantigua was on base four times with two hits and two walks. Bo Bichette and Josh Kasevich had base knocks. Jake Bloss was knocked around for eight runs (seven earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out two over three innings. Luis Quinones gave up three runs in two innings and Hayden Juenger coughed up two more in one stanza. Andrew Bash and Braydon Fisher put up a goose egg apiece with Fisher fanning the side.

The Fisher Cats had just five hits, four of them for extra-bases. Two doubles came from Yohendrick Pinango while Dasan Brown and Rainer Nuņez had the others. Robert Brooks had a base knock. Lazaro Estrada was whacked for five runs on five hits and three walks over 3-2/3 innings but managed to fan eight. Kevin Miranda gave up three more over 3-1/3 innings. Johnathan Lavallee pitched a shutout eighth.

A Jacob Sharp sacrifice fly and an Adrian Pinto RBI single gave the C's a 2-0 lead and Jay Harry restored the C's lead with a solo homer in the fifth. Harry and Brennan Orf had two-hit nights and Jace Bohrofen was on base three times with a single and two walks. Peyton Williams singled and walked. Ryan Watson gave up three runs, two of them on home runs, including one by GJ Hill, son of former Jay Glenallen Hill. That was among seven hits and two walks over 6-2/3 innings for Watson who rung up six batters. Alex Amalfi stranded two runners but gave up the winning run in the ninth despite striking out four in 2-1/3 innings. Of note, Nick Goodwin was hit by a pitch in his lone at-bat and was replaced at third by Cutter Coffey. Juaron Watts-Brown gets the start in Game 2 for Monty's Mounties.
