Sub-question: Who will win the game MVP?

Sez here that with a dramatic late home run, fan addition Nomar Garciaparra wins the game for the NL and the MVP for himself. (And home field for the Mets or whoever!)

Alex Rodriguez gets 3 at-bats and hits 3 homers.  Fans in New York immediately jam the telephone lines of the sports talk radio network there to complain about it.

Yeeaaw ... dis is Sal in Queens. What's wit A-Rod? He kin only come up big in games dat don't count. Put him in a ex-hib-ISH-on and he cranks three bombs but has he evah taken da yanks to da pennant like Reggie did and da Mick did and even that Jetah did a coupla years ago? But A-Rod? NAH!

Vernon Wells will win the MVP, with a home run and a great catch in centerfield.

Jason Bay, with a HR and a double. Playing at home, and he's been promised the playing time. Plus, I would like it if a player from the worst team in the majors won allstar MVP.

David Ortiz. He's on some kind of roll, everyone loves him, and his three-run HR will give the AL a lead it never relinquishes in a game that will stop being interesting around the 4th inning.

I see no one had taken Vladimir Guerrero. Now I'm not too sure how well he's going to do but he is a good available option. 3-run HR perhaps?

I'll take the best young player, Francisco Liriano.  Oh, wait...I'll take David Wright

Joe Mauer, for precisely the same reasoning that Jordan used to pick Papi.

I'll take Lance Berkman. No reason.

hmmmm.... missed a few of the good choices while at work. I'll go with Manny Ramirez just because he's Manny.

Manny said he wasn't going a few days ago, because of a "right knee" injury.

Jim Thome, just because there's so many of those White Sox players (and coaches).
