Just for the record, the six teams listed were the second and third place finishers in votes received for each divisional poll. and as it happens are the only other six teams to crack double digits in vote percentage. If you want to vote "Other" -- got a real Jones for those Nationals, do you? -- well, tuff beanz.
Well, I've got the Cubs and Padres winning their divisions. My best guess for the Wild Card is the Dodgers, with the Phillies my second choice. Should I have markedthe Padres as a surrogate for the Dodgers, or the Phillies? I chose the former.
Yeah, all three of my division winner choices are on the wild card list, so I'm in the same situation. I just went with what I thought was the best of these six teams (PHI, though I almost went ATL just because they ALWAYS make the playoffs. OR, er, at least that used to be true ...)
I picked the Phillies because they seem the team most likely to win the wild card. Teams like the Brewers, Dodgers, Padres, Cardinals, etc... all seem to have a better shot of winning their division than they have to win the wild card. The Phillies are the most logical choice for the best #2 team in the NL.
Arizona for the WC and the NL champ.
