Voted for Dustin McGowan, this is really an optimistic vote, if he is the teams MVP, i think there is a good shot we're talking about a playoff contender in September.

I think the most optimistic option is AJ Burnett. If he makes 33 starts he will be an extremely strong MVP candidate. And if wishes were fishes, that's one really big fish right there.

I voted Rios.

Other: Frank Thomas. Just a feeling.

Rios, Hill and Halladay were the Jays 3 most valuable in 2007, and there is no reason to expect any change in 2008.  I voted Hill, but that is pure hunch.

I voted for Hill only because I recently bought a new Jays road jersey with his name on it.  He had better be good this year, otherwise I just blew $200.

I voted Other as a vote for Rolen - if he plays in about 140 games this year (rejoining at the April 21 mark, which is the earliest I've heard he's likely to return) and plays at the level he has in all but 2005 and 2007, I think he's head and shoulders above any player on this team.

I wouldn't bet any money on it, but we still haven't played a game yet, so I'm leaning to the anything-can-happen side right now.

Is it? Or is it more than a feeling?

Thomas.  Just to be different, and because he should have been on the list (especially rather than Zaun or Eck...booo).

Original Ryan, I know how that feels.  I don't know what I'm going to do with my Burnett jersey after this year.

I voted Wells.  I think he's going to bounce back and put up 2006 numbers.  I actually expect his next four years to be closer to 2003 and 2006 than the years in between.  Here's hoping.  I like the Rolen voters too.  He has two bad years out of how many amazing years.  He could be the difference maker this season.

I don't think MVP should ever be a pitcher (unless said pitch puts up turn of the century Pedro numbers)... so I went with Rios. I sympathize with the Thomas/Rolen voters... they are better choices than most of the people listed (I count 6 that their head and shoulders about, including the pitchers).
